I think you have Urinary Tract Infection or UTI. A std course of antibiotics should take care of it if it is garden variety. What causes UTI is another thing, very unhygenic down there or stds.

Any neighbourhood clinic can prescribe you the antibiotics to take.

If there is a wound there, you will feel a stinging sensation when you bath. I am not sure but don't think there are muscles at the area, there are nerves there tho.

Don't be embarrassed to go see a doctor. They see plenty of such cases and you will just be another normal patient to them. $50 should cover both consultation and meds.
