Nothing is 100%. Safest would be abstinence. Therefore, if you play, it is always advisable to get tested regularly. Unless of course you have a single partner, and she is also a faithful one.

I don't think the risk is any higher when she's menstruating. When she has period, you get blood. When no period, you get pussy juice. No difference. The only thing is that blood is red and clearly visible, which makes you feel a bit insecure, but the truth is that blood is probably no worse than pussy juice.
