Hi Bros,

I had BBBJ at one of the MP recently, and notice yellow discharge underneath my foreskin, so I am getting worried I may have caught something. It's been 5 days since the exposure.

I had wanted to go DSC clinic to check but unfortunately they only open on weekdays and I will not be able to take leave as I have just started a new job not long ago.

So I wonder if GP will be able to test or to treat STD? Then I can just visit my GP asap on a weekend. Thanks for your advice!

Well Bro,

You can absolutely go to a GP for STD testing. No problem with that. But do bear in mind that DSC has the most updated testing regimen & eqpt since they are specialized "in this area" :)

Btw, if you visit a GP, pls make sure its a guy. What if you have a "hard on" in front of a lady doc? Very embarrassing you know :)

Thanks for the replies, bros.

Do you all know how long it takes per consultation at the DSC clinic? I hope I can go before I start work in the morning. But I checked with one of the counter staff she said 2 hrs on average even with a appointment. That's a bit long right? If within 1 hr, I can probably still make it for work after that if I make my appointment early morning.

Also, will they be able to provide MC after consultation? At least got MC still can "report sick" from work, since I can't take leave.

You sure? I've asked the counter staff, she said they don't open on weekends (including saturdays). I've also checked the website, it didn't list saturday: http://www.dsc-sexualhealth.com.sg/showpage.asp?id=61.

Don't just go to any GP. Suggest looking for 1 familiar with STDs. Got a friend who had painful peeing, went to his usual "Cough & Cold" GP. The guy heard his symptoms and prescribed Cipro. Did not even look. Did not work of course, went to another GP and got a test done. Ended up with Herpes and lesion was at the urethra.

GP is generally fine but not all GPs are STD oriented. At the very least he should get you to do a blood & urine test.
