Sigh .... Constant raids killing all the fun

The constant raids and rumors of raids really literally scared off the WLs. Places like JC, Katong and Geylang area KTVs had very few gers working so really not much fun.

Also I realise that the smaller size KTVs get raided more often. Why ?
So really when not on company entertainment expenses, I have to go to these small ktvs to unwind (sometimes entertain also because customer only give small order so how to entertain at TAM?). But there are not many gers working there because all fear kenna raid so also no fun. All go to the big ones thinking it's safer. Is it a discrimination against the small ktvs ?

Just my thots. Maybe KTV cheongsters can share their views.

Bro I heard, cuz raids netted more overstayers in small joints than in bigger ones; moreover bigger joints imposed stringent company checks on their own working gals.

Smaller joint KTVs usually dont follow rules and relegation strictly, compare to the bigger joint KTVs. Smaller joint KTVs open to drugs, let the customers and gers have sex inside the rooms, which is not allow in KTVs regulations. Bigger joint KTVs are more well organised. If the customer want sex , they will advised them to go hotel. They are also very strict on drugs in their premises.

No leh. The small ktv check the gers' docs b4 let them work. Only difference in the big ktv is they make the gers' buy drinks c/w receipt as consumer. Maybe the impression is big ktv got rich businessmen or VIP the raiders which don't dare to offend, whereas small ktv easier to report the numbers after the raid w/o complications and need to answer.

Well, raids are usually carried out due to suspected drugs, illegal activities or complains to the KTVs. Although foreigners or students are not allow to work in KTV, it is not that 'serious' as long as the KTVs dont go overboard. If really the authorities want to follow every rules and regulations, no KTVs, even the the bigger ones, will be able to survive in Singapore becoz no KTV gers. haha. Things we do, but dont go overboard, this is wat i am trying to explain on my point of views.

Once I HH at BS with my customers, there was big commotion at about 4.20pm. Realised the gers running from room to room collect tips because rumor got raid. We also pity the gers so give them tips. By 4.45pm, KNN all the gers already gone leaving all the patrons to eat themselves. We sian 1/2 also call the bill go downstair lar kopi. :mad:

But I have never encountered this in bigger ktv. That's my point.

DYN is quite big but I dunno why they also kenna altho' frequency not as much as the small ones. Maybe never pay protecion money. :D
