Issue with chatroom access

Hi all,

I can't seem to access the chatroom properly today. When I clicked on the chatroom link, it just shows the page but the chatroom Java applet is not loading. Things I tried:

1. Cleared my browser's entire cache, cookies and history
2. Cleared my Java cache and data
3. Connecting to the chatroom through a proxy
4. Tried different browsers
5. Re-installed my Java

and is still the same. It just showed me the chatroom page but nothing is happening after that.

Admins...please advice why is this happening and the steps to resolve...

I have no idea why it is happening and I don't know of any steps to resolve this problem. :D

However, I do see more than 10 members in the chat room so I assume that the problem only affects some but not others.

hi all..just use other web browser for the time being until our tech guy install the latest version of the addon chat. hope that will solve the problem.

i have tested it on a few systems and IE and opera works everytime. ;)

wait for the update then..like sam said we have no idea what is wrong and i reckon majority of us only have problem with chrome.. if you have tried it our on all those browsers i suggested then yours looks like an isolate case.. what u can do is try it on a laptop if u have one. The chatroom doesnt work with my firefox and chrome on my pc, but works well on my laptop.

Just to update on the status.

I've tested to log in to the chatroom on 3 different browsers: IE, firefox and Chrome. Following are the results:

1. IE - Successful
2. Firefox - Only shows chatroom page but Java applet is not loading at all
3. Chrome - Only shows chatroom page but Java applet is not loading at all

The mystery gets deeper when I test my Java applet of Firefox and Chrome on https://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp

and the results are Java is working on both Firefox and Chrome Browser.

Admins, probably you guys want to check on the chatroom application? Probably the latest version of Java is not recognized for other browsers?

Hi all,

I can't seem to access the chatroom properly today. When I clicked on the chatroom link, it just shows the page but the chatroom Java applet is not loading. Things I tried:

1. Cleared my browser's entire cache, cookies and history
2. Cleared my Java cache and data
3. Connecting to the chatroom through a proxy
4. Tried different browsers
5. Re-installed my Java

and is still the same. It just showed me the chatroom page but nothing is happening after that.

Admins...please advice why is this happening and the steps to resolve...

Those who were previously banned should clear their cookies and they should be able to get in again.
