I have some white discharge and sticky too on my penis after awhile and went to research and found out it should be candidiasis. I think i will try to use antifungal medications to cure it? Is there any other recommended ways?

I have unprotected sex with a lady a month ago but not sure that is what cause it.

It would probably be best to confirm your diagnosis by seeing a doctor.

A single dose of a drug called Fluconazole usually gets rid of the infection.

Hi

Thanks for the reply. I tried to look for pharmacy that sells Fluconazole but found none.

I use an anti itch cream i found at home and it feels better i guess though it stings abit after i applied it on my penis. I read online that it will help.

Will it go aways from just applying cream?

i dont think you can get Fluconazole in SG pharmacy without Doctor description. Those item are considered as controlled drugs and will need Doc description. Perhaps you can go JB and try to buy at pharmacy. JB can get most drugs without doc description in JB

You can't just walk into a pharmacy. It's a prescription drug.

You need to see a doctor for a proper diagnosis before attempting any form of treatment. I made that perfectly clear in my post.

Thanks guys! just bought the mycoban and started applying it. Will see if it helps or not if not I will go see a doctor if it doesn't go away.

Hopefully it does as I am young.. only 23 not sure what causes it, I may think I got it from the unprotected sex. Or maybe due to poor hygiene.. Hopefully will recover!

It's not safe to make your own diagnosis as the boss pointed out.

For everyone's knowledge, there are a number of anti-fungal creams that you can get from the pharmacy (in the presence of a pharmacist or OTC):

Daktarin
Lamisil
Mycoban
Canestan
Nizoral

bro best go and get yourself tested before you do any treatment yourself. if really is yeast infection,

1) keep your penis dry( after shower or after peeing)
2) control your diet( cut down sugar, sweet stuff or carbo food)
3) try 100% cranberry juice. damn sour, but good stuff.
4) use the those anti fungal you can find at the pharmacy and apply it twice a day. keep your brother dry before applying. do not reapply even if you have pee.

I had it once on a trip to a cold country during winter. Didn't manage my usual hygiene standards.

Came back, did what above poster said, although I didn't use anti fungal creams. I am uncircumcized, so pulling back the foreskin at that time really hurt, but it needed to be done.

Gone in a week and never back since.

It's been a week and there is still abit of that white stuff everyday morning I checked. I have applied my coban but not sure if its working but I think I am getting better. But probably will go to a clinic tmr morning since I am on leave but not sure I will waste alot of money on that. I have a family clinic downstairs. Should I go there if go to a specialist instead?

Best is to go to the DSC clinic, don't any how using self remedy as you may not know the truth of your infection/illness and assume things. Best is to everything check to have a peace of mind. As you know STD can infect others if you have sex with them and the longer you hold back from proper treatment. Things might get worsen and harder to cure.

This is another useful thing to know:

If you have a fungal infection of your penis head or foreskin that either keeps coming back or does not go away, you very likely have Diabetes.

OKay I called dsc and they only have a appointment next monday so I will go get myself tested for STD then. Around how much does it cost?

But in the meanwhile should i just apply mycoban and see how it goes or should i go to my family doctor to get a checkup?

you should have go to a GP and get a proper diagnosis in the first place.

as for the cost at dsc, check out their website, i have no idea how much it cost.

Hi All

Went to a GP today morning to have him take a look. he says its a yeast infection as I predicted and given me a cream called phytoral ointment. hopefully that will help and he says to come back if it doesnt go away for 3 days.

so i guess i am safe from std? or probably i should go get a check up anyway,

It is wise to do a std and hiv check when u have unprotected sex with a stranger.

Having a yeast infection does not mean you are clear of all STDs.

They are 2 very separate issues.
