I was zapped 2 times in 5 mins for asking a question in a thread.
I know getting zapped is common, but I suspect this is clones multiple zap.
I will probably get zapped again for this post, but will still like moderators to look into it as my post does not promote anything but just ask for clarification.

it is dependent on your rep power.
if you have a rep power of 3 , you can add 3 rep points to other members. No more , no less, however you will only be able to zap about half of what you can add.

yes it has no effect on the rep power, however u still need a min number of post before the rep power kicks in.

what that sentence basically means is that one does not get additional rep power when they hit a certain number of post. Members use to get 1 additional rep power with every 1000 post if i remember correctly.

10 post will usually get you the rep power.. :)

The script for disabling those who use vulgarities has been disabled. While it does the job very efficiently, I was flooded with appeals from twits who claimed that they did not know the rules, that the guy deserved to be fucked, that I was being biased blah blah blah. I'm sick and tired of people who are unable to take the punishment they know they deserve and come up with all sorts of cock and bull stories to get themselves off the hook.

if the power system works by Reputation + Every 3 year (additional 1 power) + Premium (immediately extra +5)

Example
First 500 reputation = 1 Power
1500 reputation = 2 power
3000 reputation = 3 power
5000 reputation = 4 power
9000 reputation = 5 power

if you have 1500 reputation, joined 3 year + no premium = 2 + 1 = 3 power

Example #2:
if you have 0 reputation, just joined + premium = 5 power

it would be fair.. if not, all the old bird with low reputation can demerit the newbie unfairly.. because i believe those with high reputation, they won't anyhow demerit others..

When we saw some good sharing and postings,we want to up them immediate to encourage them.But have to wait for power to recover.In this forum ONE Reputation click is allow every 24 hours,whether can remove the time of the click.But still per day click allow. :D

Could I recommend that you help me look into a case of mass zapping by what I suspect are clones please?

I have just been zapped by 5 bros within a very short period, similar to the case of the poor soul above me. I understand that clones are not allowed in this forum and thus seek your cooperation to bring the culprit to justice. Because of the large number of points zapped, I believe that the culprit is quite senior. Therefore, it should not be the first time the culprit has committed such an offence.

I'd like to believe that this forum is a fair place for sharing and rules will be observed. Thank you for the time taken to read my lengthy post.

I check the server logs regularly and there is no evidence that the database has ever been compromised. The chance that someone who wants to know who zapped them has the skills to hack in and cover his tracks totally is very remote.

I receive daily reports of clone nicks adding or subtracting points. However, unless there is obvious evidence that the accounts are clones created solely for manipulating the system, I can't do anything.

There are a few premium accounts that appear to belong to the same real human but since there is no documentary evidence that this is the case, I just leave things be.

By ignoring/ choose not to see for that is the win win win solution. The victim can say boss no do work and as time go pass. People will stop complaining as time goes by. Humans are forgetful. The purse is not getting thinner.

He will not be accused of double standard. No need to see protestor carrying banners displaying remove those rules.

If boss choose to ignore, is there a need for to think of a reply back. Never see is lesser work.

Lastly quite close to the paying member however in the case that he is a huge contributor. Just because of his thread, thousands n thousandsc of viewers are attracted. If his influence play a significane damage to the traffic flow, chances are everything is neg. But is that stolen when people tell you so. possible things that normalcan increase his traffic. The higher the traffic, the valuation of his forum will increase accordingly.

So by punishing that contributor, boss faced a risk of losing his contributor. If that contributor stop posting, he loses those reading crowds n a drop in traffic meter which is a factor in valuation of a web site. Directly affecting his total asset standing.

Thus boss is at most affected by morale values n ethics. How much is that? :rolleyes: Without any expense to his purse and best of all to do any work.

Normal to zap back / getting "friends" to zap too. One of the reasons for gang wars. "knnncb" is definitely not allowed - will be caught by "script" if no nick.


Someone has impersonated your nick to zap, hoping that you will be badly zapped (back). You can complain to Sammyboyfor - if you have been unfairly zapped to 1 pt (like this). Sammyboyfor is nice. SBF might return you the points if it is unfair / gang zaps. :) Cheers.
