Which part of europe will you be traveling specifically? And which model will you be getting?
Some countries are cheaper and some are more expensive than SG, you can refer to this link about VAT in europe
http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/business/vat/eu-country-specific-information-vat_en
And you cannot pay by installment in Europe unless your have a europe bank credit card, if you have amex, you use use their "Pay Over Time Features"
Again before you go overseas, check with the local dealers 1st, generally they will give you 7-15% off the RCP price
If you feel like buying at Changi Airport, you can look for the Rolex Ambassador at T3 call Candice, she is very patient and helpful

Thank you for your kind advise bro..
I will be in paris and london..
Local dealers will still give discount if i do via installment? Cos most of my money are invested and earning good interest, hence if got interest-free installment i sure go for it..
Nothing expensive.. just an oyster perp or diver..

Paris is abit ex as Euro is still quite strong
London you can survey the market there as the sterling is quite weak due to brexit
Some dealers will charged 3-4% for installment, some will absorb the charges, again that will depend on how much discount they give you (7-15%)

Aiyoh, this is a sex forum, talk about barking up the wrong tree. But for watches, I can help a bit. Buying in Singapore, especially in boutiques, is unnecessary. It's the exact same watch bought from a boutique or a gray dealer. Some people feel better buying from an authorized dealer and if that is you, by all means do what you need to scratch that fetish. You are throwing away thousands, yes thousands, going down that path for the same watch. Gray dealer is option 1 if you need to get a new watch. On the used market, there are many people who are selling their safe queens to fund a new piece. Safe queen is a term horologics coin for their watches that spend most of their time in safe. Some people have many watches but most have only a pair of wrists. And unless you are Maradona, you can only wear one watch at a time. So they have many watches, which are as good as new, sitting in their safes.
Second hand watches can easily look as good as new but cost only 60-70% of the retail price. If you can live with that, it's excellent value. But you need to stalk the market. Good value come to those who are patient.
Am afraid there are no installment plans available in most cases but I do know of gray dealers who accept payment through credit cards. That means you can make arrangements with the bank to pay for your watch in installments. Personally, I feel that if you can't afford to pay for a discretionary item outright, then you shouldn't really own one. But to each his own.
There is a very popular watch forum for the Singapore market. Google and it will open up a whole new world of horological possibilities for you. You may PM me if you need more information. I am not a dealer nor will I sell you anything, don't worry about getting harassed.
Finally, do consider buying from HK too. Information is king, you just need to compare. Generally, Singapore is not the ideal place to get a new watch.

Depends what you want it for. Investment, savings or just being flashy. I bought one from grey dealer and another 1:1 exact clone. The original spends 90% of its time in the safe.
The clone follows me everywhere, even reservist, into the jungle. If any of my guy friends ask, I will just tell them the truth. Chiong one. Real one in safe. Only guys will understand. Hahaha

I am not from SG but I have been surveying quite a lot. The prices of Rolex are quite standard but it is all on the tax. As a foreigner, I am able to refund the GST in SG. I can save closed to SGD2000 for a rolex. HK is quite cheap as there are no tax there. If you are ever in Taipei, do check at 101 as I find that the price is so much cheaper after the GST refund.
If you do plan to buy in SG, get a foreigner friend to buy for you as he can help you refund the GST and pay you back.

But anyway TS thinking of buying from grey-dealer... but do remember to ask them about warranty

TS... it is a very bad decision to get a rolex from a pawn shop or grey-dealer......you are 99% sure of ending yourself with a LOLEX instead of a Rolex.
pawn shops and grey-dealers do not verify the mechanism part of the watch are original. Most of the part are not original and the value decreases. So if u get it at 80 discount.. you are actually paying the correct price ( no discount) becoz the part are not original.
u just have to think why the original owner want to sell? most likely it is because their watch got problem.....
many poeple who got it from pawn shop can verify that their watch mechanism are not original..
best place to get rolex is switzerland, dubai .. i also disagree that sg is not a good place to buy.. i think SG is one of the best place to buy rolex..

Singapore is a great place to buy a Rolex - especially if you are a frequent customer of the boutique.
The boutique managers will give you an attractive discount price away from preying ears - open price is normally 22%off list including gst by pricier models greater discounts ate given of course if limited or hot models discounts lesser.
Got my pink gold daytona for great price if 33% discount!!
Also buying in sgp and reputable rolex authorized shops minimize any issues of the watch after purchases.
Do not buy from grey dealers !!! Siao ah !!! A S$10k watch buy from grey channels??!! Buying Gshock maybe but NOT for Rolex and AP!

Oh i am just exploring options.. hope to make the decision with a better understanding of the market..
Authenticity would be priority..
Next is payment mode.. if there is 24mth interest-free installment, i can actually put all the money to good use (invest for returns)..
But if europe gives better pricing but at lump sum, i'll go for it if its more than 10% cheaper..

Interest free installments??
Some Local dealers will give discount of 7-15% but usually when they give discount they will charged additional 3-4% for installment
If you buy something at full price, shops will never charged customer on installment

Wow u every week or month go buy watch?? or just go watch boutique and chat with the chio sales ger??? :D Normal ppl maybe few years visit boutique once to buy a watch.
The best discount I can get is from a friend "staff purchase".
I remember when I was young, I wore mickey mouse watch but I kept spoiling the watch. After a few mickey mouse watches from the same shop, the owner finally agreed to give us discount for new watch. :D

u just have to think why the original owner want to sell? most likely it is because their watch got problem.....
There are various reasons why owner sells his rolex... Most beginner in luxury watch and esp rolex will buy a beginner watch like sub. Soon after years, with extra cash they will "upgrade" their watch thus some will trade in or sell the sub.
If u are worry about your rolex, u can bring it to Rolex in SG to authentic for a small sum. If Rolex SG shoots bird and can't identify the fake part then nothing can be done. A friend bought a 16610 for 8k from another owner. Before transaction they brought the watch to Rolex to verify.

Between Paris and U.K., the exchange rate benefit is true. HK must buy from reputable sources stores cause there are shops that sell you an authentic Rolex with fake parts.
Airport without GST is also good but they lack variety. Might not have the exact model that you are looking for.
Singapore auth watch dealers do give big discount. Subjective. Not just how well you know the Sales or Mgr. There are just some models that they can do better while some they just can't. There're also models where you can only buy direct from the brand's boutique as it's a boutique model. These dealers are the ones that have a direct tie up with the credit cards for installment.

If you are one who is sensitive with your expenditure, then I should also point out that servicing costs for such watches is something to look out for. There are various options ranging from an independent small timer to the authorized agent. The price difference is many fold and I believe servicing at RSC should have crossed the $1k mark by now. It was $800+ a year or two ago. To be fair, Rolex movements are solid, I have owned a secondhand Coke for 7 years and it still ticks well. But servicing frequency is something you need to factor in. Some people go according to the agent's recommendation of 2 years, some like me will only go in if it stops working. It depends on your belief. I believe the two year period is unnecessary and its just to get you to return and spend money and to fund their overheads at Thong Centre.
A point to note is that as an investment, you will not make money from it anytime soon. So perish that thought if it is a consideration.

New Rolexes come with 5 years warranty. Unlike AP, PP, etc. Rolex is relatively robust. Even if it is worn every day, you can easily go 10 years without you notice that it needs servicing (for example slowing down, etc)
