I went BKK last year in around August with my close friend but we were too noob in that area and i did not do my homework before i went so the trip was like a little turn off...

Yes, I actually did that. Some years back, I and my friend oso got this sort of trouble in Patpong. We were made to pay up but I managed to get out the door and find for a tourist police.:mad:
The funny thing is, I cannot find one! When u need them, they r not to be found. BUT, when I go up the stairs, I saw my friend coming down the same stairs. I asked him what happened and he said that they let him off with a 400BHD fee. :confused: Don't know why, but we managed to get away with it.
We feel so relieve after that and did not go back there since.
Come to think of it, it is pretty scary, if u ask me.

Q Bar is located on Sukhumvit Soi 11, in the heart of Bangkok Thailand.

One of my favourite hangout whenever I am at Bangkok. This place is posh and for the hi so Thais to be there to hang loose and 'explore'. Well, about 50% of the crowd or more are expats but surely they are party people. The thing about these clubs is that most of them are girls and seriously out ratio guys of about 1:2 or 1:3. Guys will love this place for the babes and drinks.

It is pretty pricy for cover similar to Bed Supper Club range from 650 baht with 2 free drinks but the ambience will be slightly different as this is more club lounge set up, you are like dancing in a bar club. It is unique I must say but surely you are enjoy your night away. :)

In the early hours, you might want to drop by for a bite at their balcony restaurant. Like all clubs, they might not cater the best food for the price you are paying but still it is worth it for the companionship if you know what I mean. :)

This place is worth a visit for once.

There are no down going escalators so tourists coming to BKK with heavy bags should think twice about taking the airportlink. But there are up going escalators so going back with heavy bags is fine. As for keeping to schedule, not too sure about that since I factor a 1 hr commute time from airport to my hotel and vice versa. Anyway, no point to take the express line since the time saving is only 15 mins and it is so much more expensive.

Went with bluedragon to his home ground on Sunday, not much ger so lonely drinking whisky. Tonight a lot of gers but I was kena rejected 5 times. Nbzzzz..... si bluedragon still can laugh at me. :rolleyes:

Drift topic alittle bit, just wondering how come sukhumvit area nana plaza area around there how come so many north indians ( fair skinned type ) over there ? Many of them are working in retail shops there selling shoes, leathers , clothes etc etc and actually quite alot of negro tourists there as well ... that area almost look like a " little india " to me when i went over that last time for holiday, now isit still always like that over there ?

the real hotspots worth visiting in bkk are the places the locals love to, not your tourist fare like hollywood. u ask any girl working in a club about hollywood, they will tell you their parents use to go there. enough said.

check out neverland at raminthra on wednesday/thursday night, shows are better there;)

do bring along a big wallet, if not, there are some atms about 1min away from the club, motorcycle taxi uncle will be happy to take u there.

No, you NOT mistaken. The 3 "rooftops" are top end hi-so: Banyan, Srirocco, Centara Red Sky. Dress code, with fat wallets. Maybe worth a drink for the sights. Don't jump, after having heart attack from the dinner bill

Heard the river cruise is very nice and romantic. Not too pricey as well. Go tripadvisors and have a look at the reviews. Not too sure lah... before I had the chance to go... bo tirak liao... :rolleyes: So, I continue to suck thumb at Nana or Cowboy :D

Ooohh... I also like tawandang... nice beers, nice music, nice food. IMHO

The last time Bro ML, JimmyCool and I went to a more "local" tawandang which was pretty nice as well. Cheaper and localised. Can't remember where the place is though... 'cause Bro ML drove :D
