I agree about Andy but relax about Adam. He just had a bad game but we still did well enough in midfield. It's been the best we played Arse for a while now (except for the win at Emirates).

you can tell Liverpool had not enough luck yesterday...

1st - kuyt cannot score penalty after the spot kick was well taken
2nd - so many goals could had scored but either saved or ht the post
3rd - arse own goal not liverpool players scored
4th - dangerous RVP who stole the game

Maybe the pole in melwood is placed wider and that's why we are the champion in hitting the pole this season!:D

Pool needs to score goals in open play...

So many scored from set pieces and own goal...

At the rate we are hitting the woodwork, we will do this more than goals scored.

Really time to play Coates... Is painfully obvious JC is off the pace...

Last night match was a disappointment but not unexpected. We often blame the striker for not scoring goals but the actual problem lies in our midfield. Our strikers do not getting the right service in order to perform.

C. Adam has a big problem in getting an elevated crosses into the box. Most corners have gone to waste. AC must play with the referee's whistle, on numerous occasions he simply stopped play and complains than rather than chasing for the ball. Henderson didnt play well all season and yet he is playing more games than Kuyt. Our midfield is in a very bad shape, moreover goals are not coming from there too which effectively ruled us out from a top four finish this season.

With 12 corners, none of them threatened the opposition. We only managed 4 shots on target despite dominating possession. That sums up the whole season, Carling Cup was a consolation. If the problem are not identified and fixed, next season will be the same.

For the 20 years of wait, I have witness we came from title challengers to top 4 chaser to a mere midtable club. Anfield is no longer a fortress. But i am still hopeful because league title is still our most important chase and we cannot be any worst as at present.

There is a lot of anxiety in our efforts now. Just compare Suarez's effort which came off the post and RVP who tucked it inside Reina's near post. Luck of quality? Hard to say. But we have been suffering for more than a season now and it's hurting our confidence badly.

same old same old...many chances but poor execution n finish...once kuyt's pen was saved i had a bad feeling that the reds were going to lose...rvp just needs 1 r 2 chances n he finds the net, all the reds need i dont know how many chances to convert...also credit to rvp for being humble n magnanimous in victory by saying that the gunners actually did not deserve to win...

oh well...take this as a transition season n move on to next season...oh yes still in wif a shout for the fa cup n another trip to wembley as well...

AVB got sacked??? well no surprise as Chelsea lost last night

Newcastle just draw with Sunderland with OT equalizer.

why can't Pool capitalize on others mistakes????? sigh...............:(

FA Cup versus Stoke City who are no pushover and one spot behind Liverpool

I feel for AVB, his team just refused to perform for him, kinda like what happened to Uncle Roy last season. Then again, at least AVB did not sign Konchesky :D

A good FA Cup run is even more vital now with 4th place as good as gone.

Haiyyah... So sad...
We got 55 mil pounds strikers but cant get themselves among e top scorers... E midfield though looks good on paper but sucks big time with their inconsistency...not to say they r not scoring... They r not even delivering
How to get top 4 like that?
Anyways... Like a true pool fan, ill always watch them no matter how bad e future may b...now juz hopin e big names will still stay another year even with no champs league football nxt season...

Looking forward to next season already.

Next season, hope there is breakthrough from some of the reserves, Coady, Sterling, Suso, Morgan. Maybe Comoli and KD intends to blood them next season, hence modest summer spending anticipated.

I think it's time to look for an able goalie to replace Reina. He don seem to be that agile and reliable anymore. I thought Tim Krul and Ben Foster is looking good.

JC definitely should step aside, and we will need more able replacements. Don know whether DA is a liability with his frequent injuries. In fact, MK should be playing more, he us one who is sibei consistent.

Just hope that this season of league disappointment will ease the burden of expectations and make the players perform.

Just wonder who will it be after KD?

Just wondering who will be the man in the hot seat after KD?

Rafa for me. I like that he is a tactician. KD doesn't close shop after taking leads which has resulted in many drawn matches.

Lost to Arsenal last weekend is not a failure...Arsenal beat Spurs the previous weekend...Chelsea loss to West Brom...Spurs lost to MU...Newcastle drew at home or almost lost the game if not injury time score...so the BCL is a hotly contested league with great teams...English team may not be reprsented in the quarter finals of Champions League for the first time after so many years...all clubs had to undergo rebuilding...namely Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, Inter Milan, etc...so no diff for Liverpool...:)
