Hatyai vs Batam
Thailand hatyai is very far. From beach road golden mile take long distance bus about 12 hours. But if take tiger airway, must follow their timing. unless you go hatyai many days, or else not worth to go as the distance already takes up alot of your travelling time.

No doubt that hatyai hotel, food, shopping is slightly cheaper than batam but most singaporean will still prefer the riau islands (the 4B) : batam, balai, batu and bintan because of the close distance from spore.

Hatyai has all along been a sex paradise place for singaporean/malaysian in the 80s and maybe in early 90s. But due to the cancellation of direct flight budget airway and increasing number of aids cases of thai prostittues, spore cheongsters began to look for other alternative locations to cheong that is batam which is the nearest to spore. Some of my friends (old men) who after getting their cpf money at age 55 will go batam to spend like a king.

But one thing for sure is that those malaysian who stay in the north will go hatyai and danok for sex as they are nearer to thailand.

But if talking about girls, i still prefer cewek than tomyam due to the following reasons:

1) Able to communicate better with cewek. Don't know thai language at all. If you can communicate with the chick, you will feel more shiok when make love.
2) Cewek more playful and better gfe.
3) Cewek is more difficult to meet therefore feel that more special unlike thai prostitue too common can get at lorong 18 anytime for $50.

Of course to each his own, that is base on my opinion only. :D

Does anyone have up to date information on the STEPS pub?
This used to be a good place for listening to live rock music,similar to the hard rock cafe.
However,on my last visit in September 2011,there were no live musicians,just dancing girls,who asked for drinks and large tips just to sit with you.
