Dude. I do close to about 100k in transaction in RMB per time. Let me put it to you this way; back in July when it was 5.30 then, if I changed 100k SGD, that would give me 530k RMB. Today that would be 490k. 40K RMB. That in a span of how long???? Less than 3 months. For 40k RMB, I can bao a woman for how long????

Well based on what i have said, i really wonder how much are you guys exchanging all the time? Since if you are exchanging such an huge amount then it is important and i understands.

bro rmb not going strong, all rmb and usd ratio not change just SGD going south very fast now, it is all in mas hand :eek:, also need to change but waiting for Dec. sometime now ... :cool:

Thats the best you're gonna get.

I won't be suprize if it drops to 4.8/4.7X in the future when the yuan have to strengthen.

Yes, SGD going down. The exchange rates from HKD = RMB has been very stable for many months.. It's HKD 100.00 = RMB 81.20

It took a while to happen but the truth has finally been revealed.

Lovely how they make you think SGD is so nice and strong and economy so good when its sElection time.

Then they wait a while to let the dust settle after the big event, before dropping the bomb on you that one must be prepared for the worst.

And of course, they can finally let the SGD go back to realistic levels.
I think we all knew that those peaks were unnatural.

PS. Put some money in Chinese Fixed D accounts. Earn good interest and probably a favorable exchange rate in a year or two.

Bros Genius and Adidas88,

The worst part is that since we are staying in PRC for years, we will have to keep taking the SGD depreciation hit. (unless you get paid in RMB la! :))

My only option is to hedge against it by balancing back with RMB FDs so that we effectively have a Spread. (both with ladies legs and with dollars) :D
