Re: Batam Info Thread

Hey guys,

first timer in Batam here. I'm planning to go to Batam 17-20th June (Sunday-Wednesday). is it a good time? please advise if there's any public holiday in Singapore or Indonesia during that time, I want to avoid the crowd.

my friend who's working in Batam advised me to come during weekends. he said it's more happening in weekends. I assume the clubs are filled with ceweks? not my preference though as from what I read here they're more expensive.

I'm planning to go to joints and bring them back for overnights. and then get some massages once or twice. heard that taxi drivers get commission if they bring customers to the joints. so does it mean if I walk in by myself I can demand for lower price as the OKT doesn't have to pay commission to anyone?

haha sorry I really wanna enjoy my time and money in Batam the fullest.

Thts the thing.... Most of the happening stuff in and round Nagoya...

Like massage so cheap

Yet no decent hotels around there in immediate vicinity. Even iHotel a distance away

My 2c...

1) panorama has not been upgraded in years... Even the TV those old type... Room gloomy

2 ) nagoya plaza Toilets leakin/not maintained/upgraded

3) hills also bad shape

I dun mind the budget hotels. <previous trip i stayed @ Harapan Baru got wifi in room. Hotel new n clean minus lift> But Lovina Inn Nagoya has wifi only in lobby.

Any bros recommend good n clean hotels in Nagoya?

play hard but smart ... always look out for danger - up down left right.
Always be alert, be aware of your surroundings.

wait for taxi to go off, then walk to goldbird.
Its just behind there. Look out for goldbird signage. That will save u some commision.

Nearer to drop at Hotel Batam Star. Goldbird is just 20 secs walk from Batam Star.

There's rumor that if you wrap Pak's sarong on your head, get free entry to Pasifik and ceweks inside will instant bow to you... Caveat - must be 49 days unwashed sarong.
