We have made a play for Lewis Holtby and he should be our player next season if all goes well. :D

For tonites game against Swansea. some of the key players will be rested. Brad Jones most likely will still be retained. Hopefully looking for another positive results.

No complaints about last nights performance. The better team won.
I see the loss as a blessing in disguise considering our thin squad. :D

Altho traditionally branded the 'worthless Cup', I'm quite disappointed we failed to progress. The Cup serves as an alternate route to Europe and also a springboard for our youngsters to gain exposure.

To say that our squad last nite was largely inferior to Swansea will be an understatement. The likes of Sebastián Coates, Jamie Carragher, Joe Cole, Jordan Henderson, Stewart Downing, Joe Allen, Jonjo Shelvey were by no means weak on paper. Maybe our 2nd stringers are just not good enuff. Until BR got no choice but to summon SG, Raheem & Suarez in the 2H. Unfortunately the trio failed to help us salvage the game.

The loss also serves as yet another awakening call to the management what life will be like w/o SG and Suarez. We are in urgent need of reinforcements. Better fix the leaking pipe quick before it bursts!

Look at our fixtures. Fatigue will creep in no doubt. Our poor boys are playing like 1 game every 3 days fr 25/10 to 11/11. After Newcastle this Sunday, Pool will make a long trip to Russia before the daunting trip to Chelski. Hopefully BR organizes his squad well n not overplay his key players.

10/25 Anzhi Makhac (H) W 1-0 Europa
10/28 Everton (A) D 2-2 Prem
10/31 Swansea (H) L 1-3 CC
11/4 Newcastle (H) 16:00 GMT Prem
11/8 Anzhi Makhac (A) 17:00 GMT Europa
11/11 Chelsea (A) 16:00 GMT Prem

Read that BR may break the bank to offer Theo Walcott $100k in weekly wages. I'm an admirer of Walcott BUT his proneness to injuries is a BIG BIG CONCERN. If Im not wrong, every season he'll be out for at least a few weeks. :(

I won't read too much into all transfers rumours this time around. I was let down by last summer's transfer deadline. I will probably wait until the last day of the transfer to see if we can get anyone even if it is on loan to tie us until the summer. We are still trying to recoup our loses from last season wasteful spending. Most probably there will be 4 more players leaving us this january . Effectively making the end of the king's era . Only a couple of players remained.

I do hope the young players be given more chances to play . Actually if goals are lacking in our side why not give them some incentive. for example for every goal the player scores lets reward him for 500 pound. For every game they win the entire team will also get some incentives. won't this be better for our team ?

We do have to win this game at home. Because the next game will be @ Chelsea.

Possible team line up

Jones

Wisdom Skertel Agger Enrique

Gerard Allen Sahin

Sterling Assaidi

Suarez

SG will be playing his 600 game for Liverpool today. Another record in his career.

After a bad game against toffee..br still sticking with b.jones.

He already looks lost in the last match..or am I the only one who feels that way

Only shot on target in the 1st half and they put it away in the net..
It really sums up the last 2 season..

Hope 2nd h will be slightly better..

Reina & Johnson are both carrying injuries. It's either Jones or Gulacsi between the posts.

Yep, should have given the chance for gulasi aft the shaky games for brad against our neighbor..he is selecting based on experience rather than form I see..

If not for our back four..things might get worse..

I just feel Luis will get a goal or 2 in the 2nd h unless new park the bus ..
