Exchange Rate on 23/12/2011 @ 1130 hrs

This morning went to both PPCs to ask around ... Most were offering 4.88 ... only 2 booths offered 4.90 at the first asking ... 1 at each PPC ... 1 of them is the one that is opp the Singapore Pools Outlet which is frequently mentioned in this thread ...

was at PPC on 30Dec @1830 hrs to remit funds to my son studying there. Exchange is 4.88 but remittance is only 484 ???? why is it that remittance is now lower than cash ? previously remittance rate was much better than cash . with the commission charged , remittance rate is now very much lower than 4.84 !!!!

when the actual rate is going down, the cash is higher than remittance, cause the money changer charger at a rate better

when the actual rate is going up, Remittance is better,, cause money charger charge at a worst off rate

today rate at chinatown ck moneychanger @488 at 1200 hrs. remittance at western union is 482 and ppc remittance agent is 486 !!::eek:

Just change last night at PP, got really bad rates.. the money changer with a long queue constantly by the main road. The buy RMB at 4.95 from me... says USD drop too suddenly in the afternoon.
