I will most probably be taking the 1.50pm ferry to HB. Will come back 8.30am ferry tomorrow. Most probably will be staying at Pacific and getting a gal from Goldbird.

Any brother going with the same ferry?

My list got to be updated, yes, becos there are so many new joints popping up. Old man here always like to go back to old faithful joints where I have good experience.

Just to repeat my usual statement : IF YOU ARE KNOWN TO BE OUTSIDER, THEY CHOP CARROT ON PRICES. NEVER SAY YOU ARE FROM SINGAPORE( No.1 chop list). If you speak bahasa Indo/malay, say you from some pulau, or from Medan, or Pekan, or else where. Most of them are javanese. I always ask where they are from. If from java, I say I local, since I work here.

Best thing is to nego, and remember a few joints names with specials. Tell them the rate at so and so place is 200K max for FJ. HJ is 100k. That works for massage ladies in 30s. SYT? Forget it. they wouldn't want to lower their value, unless they have no customers for that day.

Some places that dont lower their prices and are expensive are the high end spas. Altalanta, Newton, Triniti, etc. Higher end massage places with suana and VIP rooms, the gals generally are younger and command higher prices.

So far, no special news. First few days, no entertainment, after that, shorter hours, until idu fitri, then things back to normal again, with new batch of WL from all over indonesia, some may return to kampong for good this round, some come back, some dont return at all.

Will keep this in my mind. For me I can speak Bahasa. My fren cannot. He chinese. Cannot talk malay nor bahasa that is why ganna Chop carrot. Hmm... what to do.

Say in Hokkien or broken english, or "kawan bilang harga 200K aja". Nego lah. Usually can nego, if they dont have customer for the day, or a quiet night, they will give in to whatever amount you offer

Indo in Batam can smell your ca$h already when the ferry is at sea :D

hahahaha, sinkies are easy sight when they tour around Batam, from the way they talk, dress and buy things.

But in massage centres, advantage comes to play when you speak Bahasa and tell them you are from other part of indo, becos they the massage people are usually not familiar with other parts of indo. Batam itself have many people from all parts of Indo.

Best is still to nego. The WL talk among themselves and they know the rates better than you and me. outsiders? open mouth 400K onwards, local? 300k... especially if you are chinese.

Pak, you're rite.

Indonesian consists of many ethnic groups like :

Javanese (42%), Sundanese (15%), Malay(4%), Chinese(3%) and the other minorities like Madurese from east java, Batak from north sumatra, Bugis from east kalimantan, Minangkabau from west sumatra, Bantenese from west java, Cirebonese from central java, Acehnese, Balinese, etc.

Although javanese is the majority group in indonesia, however the javanese dialect are not easy to speak as there are many version, speak to different status of people have to use different version. That is the reason why the goverment of indonesia chose Riau Malay Language (which is widely spoken in Riau islands and sumatra) as Bahasa Negara of Indonesia as it is simple to communicate among all rakyat. :)

However due to influence from the dutch and british during the colonial time, bahasa indo also contain some words from the european language. The different dialects in indonesia also more or less influence the national language. That is the reason why bahasa Indo and Malay differs in slang and differs slightly in words. ;)

However, the slang of bahasa spoken in Java are also slightly different from those spoken in Sumatra.

In Batam those cewek who had spoken to me, can know that majority came from java through their slang of bahasa. Batam has half of its population who are below 30 years old. The ratio of woman to man is 2:1. Most of the woman work in the factory. No wonder can see so many SYT cewek on the street lah. :D

Save the money, go and book a FL at disco, plus get to touchy feely first then go up room..
