The only reason he kept playing JC was it is his last season before retirement.

He has been a good servant for us throughout his career BUT, there are other ways to utilized him rather than starting him for example defending a BIG lead or last 20mins or so.

Playing him is not only a big risk but it demoralized young defenders and bug players like Coates of skrtel who might get frustrated one day and leave.

Hammers was defensive ..expectedly ..but wasteful passing and slack finishing was the problem..so fans..being ecstatic one day after winning don't guarantee you the same next match..that's had been the case for the last 5-6 seasons?

Agreed! Cougthino was brilliant! His passing has got the shadow of SG in the past.

West Ham did very well defensively and parked a big truck in front of goal...In a 90 minute match this short of results can happen...wonder why the referees also dun give many fouls and a clear penalty decision to liverpool...Let's look at the positives from the game and move on.

That the problem, Liverpool never seems to manage against such team. They are always at a lost when the other team parks the bus in front of the goal.

IMHO.....

Suarez's maneuvers and slick dribblings were well read by Collins, thus he was ineffective in trying to trick the West Ham fullbacks by his usual dribbling styles. ...All blocked :(

I think their defender Collins deserves to be candidate for the man of the match.

Your manager Rodgers wants to swop him for Andy Carroll...... lol :D
I think he would make an excellent replacement for Carragher.

Actually I was thinking why don't Rogers just convert Caroll to defense. The team sure needs a defender like his build and height.

Better don't do that. Carroll has no game intelligence and is tactically naive, that is probably why BR feels he cannot be trained to adapt to his system of play.

There will be a remembrance ceremony at tonite's game in memory of the 96 Hillsborough victims. The team will be going all out for these guys. ;)

Can Pool PLEASE not screw up against Reading tonight? We have a bad habit of relaxing against lowly opponents and it had cost us dear points.

Reading will be fighting for their lives. Watched them play against Saints last week but they were TRASH! It's a very winnable game for Pool and I'm expecting no less than 3 points! Also hope to see bro Suarez scoring again and clinch the Golden Boot.
