really bad new on coutinho's injury....

good new is tat sterling n luis alberto were on fire in last nite u-21 game vs sunderland...

alberto excel in no.10 position and scored a hattrick...

while sterling had scored 1, assisted 2, won 1 penalty... and while he was playing as a right back for last half an hour...!!

hope they can carry their form to our bpl match tis weekend...

Agger, Johnson, Cissokho, Coates, Allen, Coutinho and Sturridge is walking on a very thin line with that thigh injury.

At least Liverpool still has quality cover for these players..... I am more concerned if the goalie Mignolet is injured..... Liverpool reserve goalies this season CMI.

Coutinho is out for 6 weeks injured..... just nice timing for Suarez to takeover the 2nd striker role :p

I think Luis Alberto is more suited to cover Coutinho's position than Suarez.

Just as we adjusted to life without Suarez for our first 4 games and getting results, it'll be a good test if we have the strength and quality to win matches without Coutinho for the next few weeks.

Now that we have started well the expectations in every game will be high. Saints are a good team but anything less than 3 pts at home agt a mid table team would be disastrous.

The Saints playing style is similar to Liverpool & Swansea..... not an easy game for Liverpool to win.

today defense kan pua jialak...

I'm pretty sure DS is feeling the pressure of LS when he's back..that's why he kept trying even tough when there are tons of his teammates with better goalscoring positions..doh..

He shouldn't be pressured..becuz he ain't got even 1/2 of LS

This is what happens when you field 4 CB. Liverpool paid for list of injuries and, whoever said we had, lack of quality and depth.

Defense at a loss what to do with the ball, BR style is to play short passes not pump the ball up end up most of the time pass the ball back to goalie, which nearly proved disastrous at one point.

The midfield slowed the game down too often, through out the game, get possession pass the ball between the midfield and don't push up fast enough.

The strikers, DS and VM guilty of over dribbling instead of just passing the ball. Overall a real bad performance and the bloody ref didn't help it by making bad judgment call. One of it looks real legit for a penalty.

Never expected them to lead the table for long time but never expected that they will surrender it so meekly and lose unbeaten record on home ground.

Beaten at Anfield.......by Southampton. Sigh.....

Yes a wake up call indeed. Without Coutinho the whole team seemed so disorganized.

we remain top of table after 4 games because Chelsea lost to everton...not a bad start...^^

we beat southampton last season 1 nil and we lost yesterday, we nett loss 3 points...this is what liverpool feared most...dropping points to teams we beat...we are currently second in the table but after tonight matches not sure where we will be sitting...:)

so we made +8 points - 3 points - still nett gain +5 points after 5 games...:)

Ha ha ha I think u missed the part when the defenders under pressure played the ball back to him, instead of booting the ball up field he played short and put us under more pressure,we were lucky we did not lose by a bigger margin.I don't get it the saints had 6 players pressing us high up the pitch and yet we try to play ourselves out of trouble.commosense will tell u that the space is behind the 6 saints players but we fail to counter that part of the game, the ball into space wld have created chances for us....the worst part is we kept making the same mistakes...we cld have taken out 6 saints players with one pass but instead we kept playing it short, yes they follow BR instructions but when it was not working we shd have changed, sadly we did not have a planB.
