I'll heed GTOKING's advice to wait patiently for it to hit at least 5.0. Judging from his past predictions all quite zhun! :)

It's good that CASH KING show hand now when the rate is 4.92 because we don't need to compete with him and worry RMB to be low on stock. Let him buy in all the RMB stock in the 4.90-4.95 range in Raffles Arcade first! :D

there are many factors

1. SGD will getting stronger and stronger.
2. US dollar will not back to normal as current situation
3. RMB - China will not give any face to US because the RMB exchange
will be a package for the taiwan issue and also if the china bring down the RMB then will affect the GDP

believe it or not , up to individual.

if the rmb suddenly go down, then will be adidas or coolmanks show hand :D
only this 2 guys can bring down rmb now so be alert

Yes MAS already said it'll strengthen SGD this year to neutralise a bit on the inflation. It's already happening. Even SGD is strengthening against JPY. HKD is cheap like shit now. Hahaha.

When CASH KING and uncle coolmanks show hand that means dai ji very big liao! Maybe even MAS will call them up for kopi?! :eek: :D

We have not met before. Hope we can meet up for TCSS coffee session in the near future. :)

agreed with sifu GTO on pts 1 & 2 ....
but china will need to do something .. they r not only facing pressure from US but the whole Europe continents too ....china will do it gradually else it will affect their economic ... so i believe we'll see a gradual effect instead of a sudden impact ...

If SIN dollar gets stronger than on surface yes it controls the inflation but SIN products and Tourists will be badly affected. More companies and places will close and more unemployment.........it is a catch 22 for the goverment

Labour day is coming so maybe there is alot of PRC coming to Sing to spend then the money charger got alot of RMB to change.

Let hope it will cross 5 soooooon...

Just got sms from my friend that the raffles plc the rate for RMB is 4.93 and he mention the highest he found is 4.934.
