Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
With a view to short term goals (this season) and long term goals (next season onwards), who do you think Brendan Rodgers should sign? We have at least 5 players on loan this season. These 5 players seemed to be in our long term plans.
When Flanagan played well under Dalglish, there was another young player called Jack Robinson. I was wondering what happened to him. Turns out he is out on loan at Blackpool. Andre Wisdom's out on loan at Derby County. Suso is on loan at Almeria. Borini is on loan at Sunderland. Assaidi is on loan and doing well at Stoke. Assaidi scored the winner against Chelsea and scored again last week against Newcastle. Both are good goals. If we need 4 strikers in a club, I think Borini will be the 4th striker. If Assaidi continues to settle down well in the league, he will be a useful left midfielder. Suso is unlikely to be sold. Wisdom is highly rated. Robinson's future is still unknown but he has played 19 games for Blackpool so far. He can't be too bad either. So who would you sign in January if you were Brendan Rodgers? Got to think near and far. I would sign a left defender, a central defensive midfielder and a striker. If an offer comes in for Aspas, I will sell him or let him go on loan. He is not playing even when Sturridge is injured anyway. |

Suso is doing very well in La Liga and wants to remain there.... he is looking to making his loan into a permanent transfer. Borini is not even in the Sunderland 1st team and wants to return to Serie A where he can get better chance of playing games. Jack Robinson is at Blackpool as bait for the potential transfer of Tom Ince...... BR wants Tom back but Blackpool will not sell because of the initial contract terms when LFC first sold Tom to them (35% of the transfer fees goes to LFC if Tom is sold by Blackpool)..... so loaning Jack to them is BR's way to smoothen the negotiations for the return of Tom to LFC. BR has high regards for Brad Smith so I do not think LFC will be getting a left back. Buying a couple of midfielders should be BR's priority in this transfer window. |

Happy New Year bros!
Cheer up everyone! Some of our rivals may just choke tonight, with a few tough match-ups. Other than Arsenal's relatively easy game against Cardiff, the others play tough away matches. Surely, out of the 6 matches tonight, there must be at least 1 or 2 upsets, meaning at least 2 pts dropped? But of cos, Pool must do their part to dispose Hull! Anything less than a win tonight will be a disaster! Good match so far. Aspas is quite lively I think. He will draw defenders away and make space for Suarez. Look at the replay of Agger's goal and see what Aspas is going. He is just pushing the defender. Coutinho and Henderson are missing easy chances again. I think Hull might not end the match with 11 men. Maybe we might see Gerrard in the last 20 mins. Let him gain some match fitness.
