Some interesting facts ahead of the match against Arsenal.

Suarez, who is in the race for the Golden Boot and to break the Premier League record for most goals in a season, has netted 23 league goals in 19 matches which equals the number of league goals he netted last season.

The SAS partnership have bagged 37 Premier League goals in 35 league appearances between them and look set to break further records.

In the title-winning campaign of 1989/90, John Barnes (22) and Ian Rush (18) scored 40 in the league between them.

John Aldridge (26) and Peter Beardsley (15) netted 41 goals when Liverpool won the Championship in 1987/88 season.

Ian Rush (24) and Kenny Dalglish (18) in a triumphant 1982/83 season with a tally of 42 goals which Robbie Fowler (28) and Stan Collymore (14) equally bagged in 1995/96 season.

This famous record will still be in the memory of many; Roger Hunt (31) and Ian St John (21) smashed 52 league goals under the Legendary Bill Shankly in 1963/64 season.

If SAS can be the top scoring duo, it mean Liverpool will win the title?
That's what I interpret from your post. :D

I dun think so. Even Brendan himself doesn't think so either which came as a surprise as it was only as recently as last Christmas he was espousing the possibility of Liverppol lifting the title this season. How quickly the tune changes now he says Liverpool does not have the quality to be the Champions this season. The transfer window disappointments must have demoralised him.

For me rushie & fowler will always be the best striker we had....in my era that is :D

DS will nv come close while suarez needs to be consistant for a few season before he can be considered in their league...not a 1-2 season wonder..

This cup is certainly the only trophy we can fight for this season..but of course whether we have the legs to do it is another question ..

Top4 is so important financially wise and whether players we want will come..also top4 will keep our best players around.

The fa cup will just put the icing on the 蛋糕..:D

if they finish the season @ 4th position or better in the league, it would mean a whole lot more than jz that.
moreover, jz thinking who would not be in ucl next season is already making it exciting.

u sure a big upset, not even an upset 2 say 4 a start.
fr day 1 of tis season, they never shown they k be the few leading the pack.
b4 the turn of the year, the writing were all over the wall tat they hv 2 fight it out with a few others 4 the last spot 2 ucl.
if saf was still mgmt, then it might not be so bad.
but they already lost 8 games this season, wat do u expect them 2 be.
