Firstly, thanks to all the seniors for their precious sharing. Had been reading this thread for a year.

I am planning to go this weekend for 2d1n or 2d2n(Friday night go) solo.

Stay: Formosa hotel (near lots of joints plus got lobby safe).
I quite worried abt stolen passport and cash.

Budget: $400/- with spare $100/-

I been to batam once and walked around Nagoya district before. So walking around ain't a problem, but...

I personally feel that communication place an important to having fun with gals.
But I only speak English and mandarin.
Will I have a hard time speaking to the papa at joint? If I go on Friday night, I would like to try pacific disco, will communication be a problem?

Kindly advice, da-ge men. =]

Personally been to both fomosa and Pacific hotel. Think Pacific is much better choice. Book from the travel booth at bantam center only about s$60+ . Got personal safe, free disco entry and very good live band at lobby at nite.

I don't like Pacific at all. Really "impersonal" service, but it's a matter of personal feeling. I stay at Formosa and now I feel like at home there :p

1) At Formosa I NEVER had a single coin stolen from the room! Don't worry for your things in the safety box. Great staff there.
2) Communication is always a problem. Many people speak only bahasa. But if you have no problem, there is less fun (even with papi) :D
Communications problems in Pacific disco? Due to the music, the conversation on the dance floor tend to be very basic in most cases. Unless you don't plan to debate economy or philosophy, you should not need high conversational skills there.
3) Friday in Batam? I am envious. At your place, I would:
- go to NoName, M, or other pubs till 2am
- move to Pacific later, if I don't meet anybody interesting at Noname earlier, or with my new friend.

I will consider it, but I thinking I will be taking the new ferry to habourfront instead coz nearer to Nagoya. Correct me if I am wrong.

Pacific got counter safe box? My worry come if I go get fl bring back hotel. Next day wake up stolen den GG. Dun really trust the safe box in the hotel room.

1) Did Abit research on this thread. So far good review. Cons: getting expensive? Compare to newer hotel?
2) if got good communication via some English or mandarin may have better chemistry, better for nego.
At disco, interested to bring back also need some communication in term of pricing, duration.. Maybe I worry too much.
3) Yeah. Some bro did mention abt noname, M.
Basically, total newbie at this place. Just wanna try and had fun. Most probably will head ur advice if I do go tml. What is there at noname? =]
