Harry highlight that this is our third comeback result, see reports on "Comeback Kings" below.

We played well in this game and exert our claim. However, not too many chances created as well as not strong enough defensively.

Below is the match report of the Champions League match against Inter at San Siro:

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report?id=307794&cc=4716

http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news...ck-201010.html

Although we lost the match, but I think there are plenty of positive as well as negative to learn from.

Negative:
- Defensively we are not mature enough to handle a team of Inter's quality if we want to play attacking football against them;
- We still need to recruit defenders and/or pick or buy good U21 players to play in some EPL matches as well as other Cup matches to relief our main players to be able to play CL;
- Goalkeeping cover is not there yet. Cudicini is lacking in the big stage although he makes a couple of good saves; and/or
- Our mental recovery takes too long and it is always after some team talk at half-time that we recover to play better.

Positive
- Bale was ever impressive, he seems to single-handedly lift the team with his play and goals;
- Lennon is back and of course his inaccurate crossing is back too;
- After half-time team talk, we look more steady. Harry to receive credit for this; and/or
- Our passing looks more solid in the 2nd half although our defending is still shaky.

I guess it is our first real test for the season, we did not pass with flying colours, but in my 2 cents worth, the 2nd half performance maybe a sign of better performance to come.

Bro,

You are definitely right there. As Spurs fans, we do want to see Spurs fight for it. I think with the recent fightback performances, the players' mentality has strengthen. However, our defence have been very weak, either fitness wise or play wise. Hopefully, we will grow from strength to strength.

The following 6 weeks will be even more testing:
- EPL 23 Oct - Everton
- EPL 30 Oct - Man U
- CL 2 Nov - Inter
- EPL 6 Nov - Bolton
- EPL 9 Nov - Sunderland
- EPL 13 Nov - Blackburn
- EPL 20 Nov - Arsenal
- CL 24 Nov - Werder Bremen
- EPL 28 Nov - Liverpool
especially the later part of this November, looks like last year's Chelsea, Arsenal and Man U back to back fixture.

Hopefully, players with injuries are coming back soon.;)

Bro,

Inter did take their foot off the pedal, but they forgotten how to put it back. I think they are a quality side, I also believe they should do some damage control when facing such situation. I just hope that the players will show what Spurs is made of for the Inter match at WHL.

Bro,

I am definitely rooting for West Ham tonite as well as Spurs. West Ham and Avram Grant needs some luck to start winning again, which better place to do it than the Emirates Stadium.:D

Like I said before, we did not do too badly against Inter (except the first half), which is our first test of the season. This is a begining of a series of difficult games to come up till the new year. I just hope that injuries will not hamper our hopes of getting into the top four again and do reasonably well at the Champions League.

Spurs Supporters, please gather and chant:

Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London

Below is the report on Harry feeling frustrated on the Man U game:
http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news...ay-301010.html

I guess we have only ourselves to blame. It was supposed to be a penalty, but the ref made the 1st mistake by not giving it. Then if it is not a penalty, Nani touched the ball, the ref made his 2nd mistake by not giving the free kick and gave the play-on. Lastly, stupid Gomes did not play to the whistle.

We deserve to loss such a important game, we could at least be even on point with Man City, but we let it slipped.

Anyway, we can only look forward.

COMON YOU SPURS!!!:D

Bro,

West Ham was so close to getting at least a draw. They were more dangerous in attack except for the accuracy.

Spurs wise, we can only blame Gomes for making a schoolboy mistake by not playing to the whistle and if all Spurs players didn't learn from this mistake, it will cause us more than we can imagine.

Personally, I think we are still not about to beat Man U away because we look so fragile with VDV coming off. I guess that it is good to dream big, but we have to be realistic.

Inter at WHL next, good news that VDV is training, see below:
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...league&cc=4716

Another good new is Benitez has not win at WHL before, see below:
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...c=4716&cc=4716

Hopefully, Lennon can be up to it as Bale will be closely marked after his hat-trick at San Siro. Let Lennon disturb both wings and leave Bale to trouble Inter after the full-backs are made tired by Lennon. This will increase the chance of Bale running wild at them.:D

Again Bale was unstoppable, see report below:
http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news...rs-021110.html

In this match we have come of age. We can give the top teams a run of their money. Harry, you got it right again, now I understand why Bale was so reserve against Man U.

Hopefully, more success to come.
