Liverpool have tabled a £20million bid for Southampton player of the year Adam Lallana. Brendan Rodgers is keen to seal the deal before the playmaker makes his way to the World Cup on June 8.

Ashley Cole has been extended a one-year contract by Liverpool. However, Rodgers faces serious competition from Real Madrid, Monaco and both Manchester clubs.

Liverpool doesn't need his help, becos he cannot even save his own job.
they hv lost 3 times to manc tis season.
even if west ham managed to score a goal or two, do u think their defence can stop manc fr out scoring them ?

Its normal mgrs need to say this to pleased the board and their fans...whrthr they can do it is another thing.

If we do finish 2nd, then nxt season we need to sign better players and start the season better. .of course other teams will think the same too...seriously there is no better and closer chances than this season..but ..o well...

You think the likes of Joe Cole, Andy Carroll, Stewart Downing will go all out to do LFC a favour after being kicked out from Anfield? Furthermore West Ham has shipped in 9 goals in their last 5 away games. With such a leaky defence I dun see how they can stop the Man City attackers who will be attempting to break Chelsea's record of 103 goals in a season.

LFC has a very good chance of signing Lallana.

However Ashley Cole has set his sights on either Real Madrid or Monaco.... both of which are able to match his obscene salary unlike the 3 English clubs which wants him to take a pay cut.

Another player whom I feel BR should make a move for is Crystal Palace's speedy winger Tom Ince. He is another talented rough diamond similar to Raheem Sterling..... simply awesome the way he made Glen Johnson & Flanagan both look like schoolboys and slicing open the LFC defences for the 3 heartbreaking comeback goals.

Don't think for his age n the quality of Real's squad cAshley Cole will be able to command a regular place. Don't think he would mind either if he's paid obscene wages to warm the bench for most of the season.

If I didn't recall wrongly, Pool was in pursuit of Tom Ince a few seasons ago but he rejected us?

even if the trio go all out against manc, do u think the hammers k upset them ? not a chance.
maybe they only want to win, in order the keep their manager's job.
if he goes, they could also go ... high pay trio in west ham structure, but cannot match it with their work rate on the field.

Ince signed for Liverpool as a youth player in 2008, and was handed a first-team squad number (number 45) at the start of the 2010–11 season. On 29 July 2010, he was an unused substitute for the first time in Liverpool's UEFA Europa League qualifier against FK Rabotnički. He made his debut for Liverpool on 22 September 2010 as a 106th minute substitute in Liverpool's third round League Cup defeat to Northampton Town.....shd not have let him leave..on loan now at CP frm BP..pulis now wants him to signed on.

With Tom Ince, Liverpool must take a risk. I'm not quite sure if he can keep the same level of performance as he had with Crystal Palace. His father, Paul Ince, said he was not ready for the next step with a bigger team.

Liverpool have Coutinho, Sterling and possibly Lallana in that role.

I would love to see a creative player signed. :p

Fabio Borini Hoping to Figure in Brendan Rodgers' Plans Next Season

http://www.ftbpro.com/posts/aiden.cu...ns-next-season

Stoke manager Mark Hughes: Liverpool hold key to Oussama Assaidi transfer

http://www1.skysports.com/football/n...saidi-transfer

Pool definitely need a larger squad next season, and hopefully Borini and Assaidi will rejoin Pool, coming back better n stronger.

Pity Shelvey who has done so well for Swansea is oredi sold. He would hv been a welcome addition fighting for a place in midfield.

It's really a shame that 2 of our high profile signings Aspas n Luis Alberto did not do well this season. Think high chances they'll be offloaded next season, together with Kolo n Moses. But it's great to see Joe Allen havin a creditable season but mostly as sub.

To sign a player is tough but to get them to perform is an uphill task.

Shelvey, this lad could have been an ideal replacement for Gerrard. He has excellent shot power, a good range of passing and a hard challenger. Perfect traits for a midfielder. The sad part, he was unable to perform for Liverpool. At the Swans, he is good. In the next 2 to 3 years this guy will hold the key for England midfield.

What Liverpool need is a squad with quality players not just depth. You can't go to FA Cup with mediocre players and expect to win, let alone face outstanding teams in the Champions League.

9 goals in 39 matches for Borini, who is a forward, while on loan with Sunderland. I will say, sell him.

Pierre.

It was Shelvey himself that wanted out from Anfield. BR actually wanted him to remain but Shelvey insisted on having regular play time which BR cannot guarantee. If I remember the scenario correctly that led to his transfer request, Shelvey went to BR and demanded to be in the 1st XI after being on the bench and used as a supersub. BR deemed that as being disrespectful and responded by giving Shelvey what he wanted...... regular playing time..... playing for the Reserves and U18s teams. He even wore the armband for the U18 team.

Shelvey could not take the humiliation and put in a transfer request. In the present Liverpool under BR, no player is above the team and Shelvey should have buckled down and work to prove himself like Henderson or Sterling did and wait for their chances.
