Sorry, not sure about any money changer in Sg which offers good rates, I believe the xch rate in Indo would be better than Sg.

BTW, if a changer offers good rate but its outta place, the gain in forex (assume if you exch S$300-500 and gain S$8-10) would be off-set by the transport cost and travelling hassles .... unless if you are changing S$1K and above then its different

Just my opinion lor.

Good luck to you, the nearest place to look for CB is in Uban, that is if anyone with a hole is what you are looking for (irregardless of looks), unless you want to take the 3 hours car ride to Tg Pinang?
Then again, if you really NEED to, you can take a 20 mins boat ride to Batam, but you will need to spend the nite in Batam, and bear in mind that there are VERY limited boat services in between Batam and Lobam, so better check the schedules or you may not be able to get back to Lobam in time for whatever you are there for...

I believe you're a matured fella since you cheong the HC scene. But questions/queries like those you mentioned above seems otherwise.

Paiseh to interupt a little. Me and my buddies is planning a trip to Bintan TP next week, as it was loads of fun and "activities" the last time we went back in 2003. Thus, wondering if any bros here know if the "activities" are still available there? Like Bintang Plaza chics and Club 5 etc etc..really appreciate it! Coz I hate to go over liao then realise no more such activities, then will lose the trip liao. Coz it's not easy for the group of us to get "permits" from the spouses for a Bintan trip together..if u know wat I mean.:) Thanks! Also, we've never been to Batam for such...if any bros can kindly enlighten me on the howabout. Kindly pm me..thanks again!
