None of the new signings (except for young left back Kevin Stewart) will be involved and Brendan Rodgers has only named 1 recognised forward in the squad, which is Fabio Borini.

The match will kick off at midnight Singapore time tonight.

Thanks bro

Lineup not very exciting, think I'll likely skip.

Thought Lucas high in the sales list, Wisdom will be loaned out?

Think Ibe has a good chance to get promoted to a regular place in senior squad, esp if Pool cannot find a replacement in time.

Apparently Ibe played a very good game against Brondby even though the Reds lost 2-1.

Btw latest transfer rumour seems to be that the Reds may be looking at Marcos Reus! Reus suppose to have been transfer target for Barca, but now that Suarez has joined the Catalan giants, Reus needs to look elsewhere as he still appears to want out of Dortmund.

Liverpool has kept their interest in Antoine Griezmann under the blanket since the World Cup began and are rumoured to launch a £20 million bid for the French winger this week.

Griezmann has made his intentions clear to leave Real Sociedad by rejecting a new contract two weeks ago.

Chelsea are on alert and will compete for the player's singature since the news of Liverpool's interest in Griezmann was reported.

Looks like Chelsea and Monaco front runners for this chap.

Liverpool plays Preston in their 2nd pre season friendly.

Many of the 1st team could start.

Hopefully we can expect a better showing fr the boys.

Thanks for the article. The marquee players targeted last year didn't come because we didn't have the prestige and financial resources of the Champions League. Now that we have a direct route into Champions League and the financial rewards from participating in it, we should find it easier to sign marquee players. A lot of players are still resting from the World Cup too.

Anyway, I read we are selling Borini for 14 million pounds and buying Remy for 8 million pounds. Not a bad deal.

Must make sure spend stringently and buy quality players who can fit. Not buy 10, only 1 or 2 fit kind.

No point spending 100m but all flops. Think so far big spenders Chelsea n ManC are doin quite a good job but then again their budget are like double ours.

I hope we can emulate the Athletico Madrid model. They are a really amazing n admirable team which has been consistently breeding talents.

Yes, I read that this morning as well.

I always thought that buying Borini was for the future given his age while Loic Remy is 27 years old, not sure if he'll be a good signing given his age and potential resale value. Will he do well at Anfield? I really hope so.

agreed with you..but then again if dun buy never know if players fit...we didn't know Torres or Suarez fit when we bought them...but that was history now..:)

this season we need more bench players and expand our squad for CL and local trophies...:)

I hope I don't sound bias but why Bony, Lukaku n Remy?

I think many Pool fans would want someone with 新鲜感, someone BIG who has performed in the big stage n banging in goals ... Like Falcao, Costa, Cavani, Sanchez, Benzema .... But seems like currently we are not attracting the 30m n above category. Think even an ageing Huntelaar will create excitement but then we oredi hv Lambert.

Sorry if I sound pessimistic la ... I hope the 3 targets above will prove me wrong. :)
