Ya, i agreed to u, another place that have a good exchange rate is at nagoya hill. So far the highest that i have get before is 1 dollar to 8000Rp, hope it will maintain 7500 to 8000 range as i did get b4, 6500Rp only.

Somewhere mid Nov, happen to be at Jln Sultan, change some Rup cos I was told tat day it was good. I got it at 7800 @ S$1.00. The money changer is at the junction of Arab st and North Bridge Rd. Directly opp Golden landmark and Sultan Mosque....beside Zam Zam Restaurant. Their Ringgit and Rupiah quite attractive rates they offer. Hope tat helps.

bro, just curious..what year did you get rp 4600? in 1998, i got 11000..that was the best rate i ever get...

THe worst time I ever got is 11000, about there too, in 1998. At that time, USD hit about 17500 rupiah at lowest.

Yup! Tat time I only managed to get @9500...already spending like King in Batam/T Batu/T Balai. Best part was the Gils/Hotels prices remained unchanged i.e. like during Suharto's days. Only mths later after the Rup quite stablised...then they adjusted prices upward...
