What came out in the match against Villa, apart from the Reds defensive frailty, is the fact that Balotelli needs others to open space for him to be effective. Think Mario played quite well, just that he had no help in opening up spaces for him.
YNWA

Mario is not yet match fit. His usual sharpness and mobility is not there and also he was struggling as the match went on. It will take another few more games before he gets up to speed and starts to perform.

This is an unforgiving league ! By the time he gets 'match fit', we may find we are at the middle of the table again! Our expensive signing from southhamton is not going to help us much either judging from the villa match! Most ppl will say it's only the fourth match, there is no need to press the panic button just yet! Lol....look at last season's table and how many matches did Manc lose to become the champion? Btw, congrats to Jordan henderson for becoming our next vice captain!

I am impressed by Angel di Maria. He has been putting in good performance since his debut for our fierce rivals.

Across to London, Liverpool's previous targets Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa are shinning as well.

Liverpool is going to require time for the team to gel and qualifying for Champions League next season will be a decent achievement.

Jordan Henderson is our new vice captain.

He thoroughly deserves it :)

Don't worry Liverpool will play catch up and Chelsea will surely drop some points along the way.

I will settle for any winning scoreline.
I will settle even if it's an ugly win.
We still have a weekend epl match to worry so hopefully the injury list won't pile up!

All da best to Pool Pool!!!

Will Liverpool be the "Tottenham" of last season?

it was ugly... conceded stupid equaliser but scored the winner from the spot all in the injury time

again we ran out of idea to break down visitor's defense... we will have a problem here this season cos I think many teams will come to anfield to park bus and catch us on counter...

positives: Super Mario broke his duck and we WON.....!!!!!

Glad for the win and happy to see Balotelli break his duck and score, but worried for Reds this season, still way below what they were last season.

Sakho, Gerrard, Lallana and Couthino were disappointing. Man do we miss Suarez and Sturridge together. If Reds were playing Madrid instead of Ludogorets, Liverpool would probably have been thrashed.

It is going to be one long hard season ahead.

Thks for update bro.
I woke up n saw the results ... very shocked to see pool's late goal in 82' ... even more shocked to see Ludo equalized 91' ... N most shocked to see SG grabbed penalty winner in 93'!
We really won ugly! Very very ugly!
But end of the day 3 precious points matter!
And yes, my first reaction too was Mario finally broke duck! :)
