The 3 goals conceded were down to silly defensive errors again! We have decent defenders who are internationals, I cannot comprehend why they defend like schoolboys esp the 3rd goal which killed any hopes of our comeback.

I really worry for Pool. A lower bottom team like West Ham can put 3 past our defence. I dread to imagine what bigger damages the likes of Real or Chelsea could do to us. And the way we play n defend, I dare say any epl club is capable of beating us!

Next week will be the big merseyside derby agt Everton. If we lose our 4th match it would really be a big mountain to climb to salvage even a 4th place end season.

Shocked . Disbelieve . Disappointment . Are some of the reactions going through Liverpool fans all around the world including myself.

1) Only 2 players turn up to work for Liverpool
2) Liverpool were playing without a goalkeeper
3) Liverpool forgot how to defend.
4) BR IS still clueless about defending.
5) Liverpool no longer a title contender.
6) Liverpool miss the SAS.

Really toothless play we had today...not because we lost convincely...but even if this game is won..it is so painful to watch ..from defence to midfield to attack...

Do not want to lie to myself of the post-LS effect..its simple heartache..

yes...truly a real pool fans. As my earlier post mentioned, its high time the panic button is pushed or else we will be ended up like spur and being a laughing stock by our rival fans. I just hate those words' the players need time to gel'! Lol....the championship let you take your time to gel?

Boy oh boy i really hope history does not repeat itself, following the last time when the team finished 2nd in the BPL the following season they slipped all the way to mid table. Really shocking result, BR can't put it down to the team in transition stage, these are paid pro they should know their role and job. Besides that, there are other teams also in the same transition stage but doing much better.

Simply gutted, looking at Southampton's current form compared to the Reds - Liverpool 'raided' the Saints pre-season - plus the fact that the Reds have spent 120m odd quid, oh man I don't know what to say. Oh yeah not forgetting of all days Stewie choosing to turn the knife on his old club last night!

So is Liverpool the Spurs of last season? Truly hope not, but if so, think Brendan Rodgers will get the sack. Panic buttons need to be pressed now!

On a brighter note, this heartwarming story on mercurial Mario Balotelli cheered me up a little - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...Home-fire.html

I do not like that either.
38 games a season, nothing more, nothing less.
Time wait for no man in this expensive sport, either you keep up with the pace or you will be left behind, it is cruel, but no choice.
Wait for you to improve, the other teams also improve, then you will fall further behind.
Anyway winning the league is practically over even only 5 games in the season.
Hope can perform better in the CL.
With the standard of our 4 strikers we had now, it's heartache...

加油加油..

No fan will ever say it was a waste to watch his team play because it reflects volumes on that individual as a fan. ;)

Cannot totally put the blame on the defence as they had no covering support from the DM. Furthermore their "eyes" which was supposed to be Mignolet was not calling out to them as he should have done. SG is not a DM.... by playing him in this position is a liability to the team... BR should get a proper DM to do the job otherwise Liverpool will ship in goals aplenty.

Experienced tacticians now know Liverpool's defensive loophole and will exploit this again and again.

Agree with your analysis. I too agree that SG IS NOT A DM. He is best as an AM. Liverpool sorely needs a good quality DM. Not the kind of rubbish Lucas dished out. I saw the first half this morning and must applaud the Hammers for exposing Liverpool's weakness' . Their players came out fighting from the first whistle. Don't know what the Liverpool players were doing. Now I know what other brothers had already said. It was dreadful to watch Liverpool play like that.Mignolet doesn't help matters much either. I think if this trend continues BR's job would definitely be on the line by December. What the hell is wrong with Liverpool's defense ?

He "used" to be best at that position...but now with the lack of pace, he cannot filled up that position anymore.
You need pace and power in that position, hence he was deployed in the DM area...it's really for the sake of putting him in the 1st 11 now, as his presence is still being felt by his own players and the opposition.

Anyway, this weekend seems gloomy for the 2 most successful clubs in English Football.

Manure also got thrashed by Leicester ....lol :D

We are still 1 place ahead of them at 11...:D
