How are you? It's been a while since we communicated through this medium. Haha! I received a picture of "DUNNO" real or fake RMB500.00 denomination with the late Paramount Leader Deng sometime last year, maybe in June. With this picture, I even went to ask my BOC customer service officer, she is quite pretty by the way, whether this currency note is real or not? When she saw the picture, she looked stunned and bewildered. I already knew the answer even before she answered me verbally,,,,:D

Her reply was nobody in the bank sector has heard of it. Frankly, I feel and think it is just a hoax or a joke played in the cyber world. Best to wait for the Central Bank of Tiongkok to announce then you believe. :D

Have been hearing news of china wanting to release 500 & 1000 notes for years...

But till now, 连个屁都没有 :eek:

So like just WKK say, better to wait for them to release official news than hearsay... :mad:

Yes, released already, before i went back on home leave to SG for CNY, i try to change for RMB new notes at BOC but all been changed. there is also RMB 50 and RMB 100 new notes. Guess it will take time that the new note circulate commonly in the street as the bank are collecting old notes and replaced the new notes. China 1.2billion population.

aracde - most of the shops offering 4.77 to 4.78... managed to find one at 4.79 (at the very end of the stretch)

Changed at Arcade yesterday : 4.8

But i will not change rmb there anymore. Unlike PP, the MCs there do not have a specific verifying machine for RMB. Only a universal counter.

With fake rmb so prevail but worth ths risk.
