No disrespect to Henderson , Henderson is just too quiet on the pitch. He still lacks the leadership qualities for on and off the field. e is only a great workhorse in the middle of the field. To be a captain of a Liverpool team you need people to look up to you. To inspire the team when the going gets tough. To turn things around on the pitch. So far I don't see these qualities in Henderson. Kolo could be ideal replacement but he is also nearing towards the end of his professional playing career. Lallana could be the ideal choice as he was the captain of Southampton. But his form had deeped since his move to Liverpool. It will be very tough to replace a captain like SG. Really sad to see the way FSG is treating Captain Fantastic during the contract talks.Have they forgotten how his contributions for the past 16 years ?

Henderson was the England captain for the various age groups ie. U-21, U-19 & U-16 so he must have some qualities that made all the respective age group coaches to select him as their team's captain.
Maybe we will know in future when we are more familiar with him.

A captain always lead by an example. He always puts others first before self. I hope he does not let Liverpool down.

Liverpool has handed Steven Gerrard a new contact but it is rumored the club captain will consider turning down the deal.

SG plays better as a No 10. Really don't know what to say about Mignolet. I have a bad feeling he is going to cause Liverpool's downfall.

The following players that needed to be rested for the next game:

1) Mignolet
2) Skrtel
3) Sterling
4) Lambert
5) SG

To be replaced by
1) Brad Jones
2) Sakho/Loveren
3) Lallana
4) Borini
5) Emre Can/ Joe Allen

With Mignolet's performance still unconvincing between the sticks , I still don't understand why BR don't use BJ ?

Hope the Reds continue to pick up points. They can't afford to drop any more points.

I think Liverpool is playing better without Mario. SM has really got to go.He is not fit to be Liverpool's no 1 goalkeeper. SG should continue playing the No 10 role.Lallana and Lambert are getting better as each game goes by. RS and JH is slowly regaining their form. Lucas/Emre Can should be the DM.

In this coming January transfer window, I hope Liverpool will fill in the following positions :

1) Goalkeeper
2) Striker
3) Right fullback

as the more urgent cases that needed to be filled.
