Correction, score draw at the Bridge and the Reds are still in the competition;)

Does it come down to penalties if the return leg ends in a draw again?

here is the rules for Capital Cup...:)

13.5 In the Semi-Final ties, if the aggregate score is level at the end of the second game an extra half-hour shall be played. If the aggregate scores are still level at the end of extra time the tie shall be decided by goals scored away from home counting twice. If the teams remain equal after this procedure the tie shall be determined by the taking of kicks from the penalty mark in accordance with the Laws of Association Football.

if score remains 1-1 Chelsea goes thru on away goal...:)
If score is 2-2 then penalty to decide the winner

I think it was our best performance of the season. Hope we can continue the good form and play like this week in week out... :)

Historically Liverpool have always played well in the League Cup even they were struggling in the League competition.

Provided the full-time score ends in 2-2 or above, and in my opinion, very unlikely to happen although there is a faintest of possibility.

1-1 and the game goes to penalties.

0-0 and Liverpool is out. ;)

Pierre.

Please spare us your retrospective opinion. This is what you previously posted, which has now been shown to be wrong/incorrect;)

For now, technically, Liverpool are out of the competition as I do not see the team pulling off a win at Stamford Bridge.

There was no mistake.

Obviously, you have failed to comprehend simple English.

Read and probably, re-read, till you get the understanding. ;)

With 1 more week left to go , Liverpool still have not managed to get any new players in . Certain senior players will also be out of contract by the end of this season. Liverpool failed to get a goalkeeper on a free transfer. Now they even got snubbed by a teenager.

Liverpool should have won the match against Chelsea at Anfield. I am afraid it will be a very close match at Stamford Bridge.

Strong rumours of signing Benzema for 38m.

Another one is Pool's battling with devils to sign Clyne fr Southampton.

Hope both signings become a reality. :)

Brendan Rodgers in not only keen on Southampton's Nathaniel Clyne, he is actively monitoring The Saints' forward Jay Rodriguez who is expected to resume playing next week.

Seriously I doubt Liverpool owners would be willing to pay that much for a player. Liverpool owners are well know to be cheapskates. They are still desparately trying to cut the wages salaries of the players in their books.

I have a strange feeling that RS will wait until the end of the season to see what will happen to BR. If BR gets to keep his job he definitely will sign . If BR loses his job , RS will be allowed to leave Anfield on a free transfer in the summer.

With Chelsea, MC and Spurs shockingly dumped out, and the likes of Sotong n Swans eliminated, and Devils' chances hanging on a replay lifeline, Pool has a very realistic chance to win the FA Cup.

Despite the domination, the boys failed to convert the numerous chances. No excuses Bolton GK was in top form, we were juz too wasteful. Another needless replay which adds to our packed fixtures.
