Bros... do you normally book your hotels in advance? or just go and see what's available?

Making a trip there this thur, 2 nights. Not sure if I can get room in the more popular ones if I just walk in.

Any good ones around $50/night to recommend? Stayed in Goodway previously, aircon is quite crappy... sweating away.

A short FR on my Ocean massage experience.

After checking in at my hotel in Harbourbay area, i went for massage at Ocean Massage and Spa. Very quiet for a Sunday. After making my Spa choice, i was led to the VIP room on the 3rd floor. Save your money by not engaging a driver for a day. When you need to move, take an ojek or a taxi, but just for the time you need it.

For atas hotel with good aircon system i could only think of Pacific Hotel.

Three ways to book,

1) Walk-in (500-650k?)
2) Agoda.com (SGD 50-60?)
3) Khaha (Indonesia Tour Agency) (450-500k?)

The above information was learned through bros who showed me ways to Batam paradise :D

Ojek 10-20k average
Taxi 20k at least, night time 40-50k (sometimes you got no choice or too tired to bargain) :D

There's a lot of hotels if u willing to explore tat is withnin your budget.big hotel doesn't mean the ac is gd sometimed big hotel their room can be more crap than budget ones.example Amir hotel in harbour bay.expensive but room is crap stayed there one nite swear not goin there again but view is good.

Try survey at agoda.com then u try calling the hotel urself.taxi if u familiar wit batam take a taxi only when u need more economical but if u newbie better take taxi.can always ask all the seniors here wit trustworthy drivers contact but for me walking is best ur just take ojek more cheaper makes frenzs then u get to know better enjoyment places from them.cheong n enjoy but play safe as well.if u r lazy to go far to eat seafood at rezeki then harbourbay is also not a bad place the beer gals are quite tempting hahahhaha.A2 ok windsor ok but better if no driver with u ur they plus driver commission on u.
