I already put it in my previous post that it was a mistake on my part.

Thanx for reminding.

Adebayor nets on debut

when ledley plays, its always a clean sheet...
let it be said: when ade scores, spurs always win! :D

so the 2 manchester sides are going head to head now with both not dropping any point. i still stand up to salute fergie before kick off every weekend, as for man city i just want to see how tevez sulk the matches. :D

it's a good win for spurs to get their season going. always thought that getting ade was a good piece of business, ex gunner or not!.

the spurs spine now looks very good indeed : friedel, king, parker and ade.

and thks for the respect u accord to sir alex bro. :)

Bro,

I cannot agree more. Although Ledley didn't play that awesomely like ever, but it was definitely enough given his long lay-off.

Hopefully, after his pre-season surgery, he can be playing regularly again. Redknapp reckons this is an important year for King:

Some good news is that VDV may be back for Liverpool match. However, I hope he does not rush things and do more workout to strengthen before coming back.
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...return?cc=4716

1st win of the season on the road, next is a home win, no disrepect to Liverpool.

Hopefully, more to come and more clean sheets.

well bro, there is only one alex ferguson.
ade's got world class touches, ledley and parker got a job to prevent any opponent from playing like ade. :D

Bad news seems to come everytime there is good news:

We feel the pinch of buying Cahill, now the defence is very thin and if another injury comes, good luck to Spurs and we need it...

alamak that is regrettable. but anyway, whether a player does well also depend on the team and manager he is working with.
for example, berbatov played every game like a player of the year for spurs but has been hot and cold for man utd. :D

so we wont see vdv in europa?? what is harry thinking?

espn
Rafael van der Vaart has expressed his annoyance that Tottenham left him out of their Europa League squad without telling him, but he did confirm that he will definitely be fit to face Liverpool at the weekend.

Van der Vaart has been nursing a hamstring injury picked up in the 5-1 defeat against Manchester City, which was initially expected to keep him sidelined for six weeks.

As such, Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp left the Dutch international out of his Europa League squad, with the club's opening group game coming against PAOK on Thursday.

However, the player's specialist Dick van Toorn revealed on Sunday that Van der Vaart would be fit for Spurs' next game and his omission from the European squad has not gone down well with the 28-year-old.

Bro,

I think Harry is keeping him for Liverpool game, which is important if we want to qualify for UCL next season. Liverpool is a very important game as they are stronger this season and Harry is treating them as competitor to qualify for UCL.

Harry Redknapp has got it right this time round to play youngster at those matches before an important EPL match.

EPL matches are very important to secure UCL. Europa matches are good build up & exposure to european football for players.

bro i started watching the match from 0120hrs and for the 1st 10mins i kept wondering if this is a spurs team. this is because i cant fucking recognize any of the players or names wearing the purple jersey! then later i saw cudicini with the penalty issue... then pavy with the free kick... and thats all.
i understand there is a liverpool game next but isnt this a huge risk? is harry treating this like a league cup? there will be major repercussion if spurs were thrashed last night.

Bro,

Imho, we are unlikely to win the europa league at the 1st go. We should let the younger players try. This is group stage, we can afford a couple of hiccups away with our younger players and let our seniors build WHL to become a fortress for european games, maybe this is in preparation for UCL next season. In the meantime, seniors are able to concentrate on EPL trying to secure top 4 for UCL qualification.

Even if we win the Europa League, there is no guarantee of UCL qualification, just like last year we concentrated too much on trying to win UCL resulting Man C able to overtake us and clinch third place, while we fallen into UEL qualification, and securing better players with their $$$ and thrashing us 5-1.

Man U & Man C is running away at the moment. Chelski is not too far behind, Arsenal and Liverpool sure will mount a fightback. There are in total 6 teams if we include Spurs competing for 4 spots. UCL consistency is important for us to attract star players and make Spurs a more prominent club. Moreover, UCL is more lucrative than UEL in terms of $$$, which in turn will be able to bring in better players with the $$$.

I think certain sacrifice at the right time is required to bring in greater success.
