Sandro can fill in on the right and give cover for Walker. Let Bale play on the left, where he is most dangerous. He is not covering back and making the defence very weak, and then Kaboul gone to sleep for 1 moment and we are down by 1 goal.

I have always emphasize that Bale is a leftie, let him play on the left, with Assou-Ekotto covering his rear and Modric on his inside he can roam. Modric looked out of place now becoz he has to cover too much ground on the left, which is the mistake Juan De Ramos made that cost him his job. Harry got the balance right when he came in, but now he is repeating the mistake...

Everton is playing like Arsenal and Man U, exposing our weakness...

Harry, Harry, Harry... What are you thinking about?:mad:

Agreed on your point on Bale!

When against weaker team, Bale can roam as he please lah...but against stronger skillful team...alas,he no messi leh!

Hopefully Harry can get it right cos now 3rd,4th and 5th place all very near liao!

This is what Harry got to say about the lost to Everton:
http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/spur...y-100312.page?

This is what Arsene got to say about our lost to Everton:
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...o-lose?cc=4716

Harry... Harry... Harry...
You know why we lost?
1) Bale is roaming around like nobody's business and not defending enough;
2) Modric play out of place;
3) VDV not playing;
4) Lennon injured; and
5) Kaboul is not up to it yet.
- Do you think we play well in the 2nd half with Modric play at the central role and Parker/Sandro backing him up?
- Bale is fixed back at the left wing.
- VDV's added dimension in terms of creativity.

Harry,
I hope you can see how you lost...

Next match, FA Cup tie against Bolton.

I just hope this is the line-up:
1) In goal - Friedel;
2) King and Nielson Central midfield;
3) Leftback - Assou-Ekotto;
4) Rightback - Kaboul;
5) Right wing - Walker;
6) Left wing - Bale;
7) Defensive Midfielder - Parker/Sandro;
8) Attacking Midfielder - Modric;
9) 2nd striker - VDV/Defoe; and
10) Upfront striker - Ade/Saha (I prefer the VDV-Saha trial).
Subs:
1) Ade/Saha/Kane
2) VDV/Defoe
3) Rose
4) Sandro/Parker
5) Livermore/Lennon (if Lennon is not fully fit)

In this line-up:
- We can have 6 defensive outfield players (Nielson, King, Kaboul, Assou-Ekotto, Walker and Parker) and 2 to back up (Modric and Bale);
- The other 4 concentrated on attacking (Modric, Bale, VDV/Defoe and Ade/Saha) with Walker and Assou-Ekotto backing up the wingers.
We can compensate for Lennon's injury with Walker while Kaboul can play right back and back up the central at times. Anyway, Walker is very attacking and quick too.

This is just my 2 cents worth.

Hope to see Spurs supporters contribute your line-up too.

Arsenal is within striking distance already. Good work from them and it is after their match against us that kick start their awesome run.:mad:

I think it is time our manager and his players wake up.

1 point striking distance from arsenal and 4 points from chelski. di matteo is not going to do any wrong, both london teams are now waking up for the last quarter run of the league.

it is a great cause for worry. what was seemingly rosy has become thorny. with what harry have said i trust he should have the mindset to do anything to keep spurs up front, his son jamies even played for spurs remember? :D

i have to praise arsenal for the game winner at the death against newcastle.
it was a swift counter attack when newcastle lost possesion after a commendable build up. as i counted from as far as the tv screen showed, arsenal had 7 players running (racing!) towards the newcastle goal while only 6 newcastle players went back.

the result? 3 or 4 arsenal players were waiting in the box for the cross and the so called verminator got the connection, a defender!

thats also why man utd is such a joy to watch and how the trophies come in year after year. the players got the attitude to win.

take a leaf from this, spurs. none of us will live forever.

I agree bro, no game should continue with a player's life in that condition.

I felt that the initial formation that Spurs have been playing to get results is good enough but now that Harry is changing things around, particularly Bale... things do not seem to be going their way.

However, then again, I will always llike the F4 on the field and that gives me more security in getting results.

F4 = Vaart, Parker, Bale and Modric. They will control any midfield against anyone.

With the speed of Lennon and the creator Ade upfront, a perfect line up for Spurs. :)

HOWEVER, I have questions about their defence!!!

Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London

What a season it has been...

Chelski has climbed up. Everton cannot score against Arsenal... Spurs lossing at home and Stoke blocking every shot...

I think the script has changed becoz of John Terry, Capello left England becoz of him, AVB left Chelski with him as a part to play, Harry Redknapp got sucked in by that...

We are likely to lose UCL position to Arsenal and Chelski. This current team has lost their fire in their eyes. Modric lost his rythm, Bale lost his way (don't understand why he keeps playing inwards when VDV and Modric is already inside. He should be providing the width, instead Assou-Ekotto has to be drageged wide of him leaving gaps in defence).

Finally, VDV scored in stoppage time, hopefully, can kick start some confidence. However, that does not make Harry right in his tactics.

With injury mounting, I guess Harry has to work hard to get a defender as well as a right winger to secure our position and endure this crazy schedule, but all may not be lost as Spurs have 8 more matches to recover before the season ends.

Bro,

Basing on the above fixture analysis, on 27 Dec 11, it is clear that Spurs still has a chance to finish 3rd. It is really up to Harry and the players to make it. Spurs must not lost today, a win will help to beef confidence. A draw will not help situation. A lost today, Harry and the players definitely has let the fans and club down.

Arsenal and Chelski still has 2 more top 7 matches to play, which may work out for Spurs if they slip, while Spurs has 8 matches to recover lost ground.

Let just hope that the mighty one above can help answer Spurs' fans' prayers to provide some luck (which we have been lacking) for us (Maybe a desperate call for help in some managers' mind, hahaha...). The rest will depend on Harry, his team of staff and players to show what they are made of.

COMON YOU SPURS!!!:D

this show the huge gap in form right now, but still there is chance.

lets forget the 1-1 draw with stoke and celebrate the road to wembley!
