The last time I went to batam to cheong, I still remember the rates for booking a girl being at 300k max. Now it has risen so much! But it's still ok. But having to pay so much difference, I hope to have a pleasant experience rather than an unpleasant one. I hope you can give me a recommendation on which ktv or joint I should visit to book for girls. I noticed New Berlian and Goldbird being the top favourite. And also hotel Formosa is also good. Booking through Kaha is much cheaper and can also get the "special" room. But there's 3 of us, is it more advisable to book online? I saw through agoda.com, it's only $49 per night as I'm going on weekdays.

Hoping for your favourable reply bro.

Wow! You are more senior than me when it comes to cheonging at Batam. The 1st time i step into Batam was Feb 2014. Rate was 600k for a MILF (excluding end of service tips). How i envy those time the senior bros like yourself here cheong Batam at only 300k max.

To be honest, when it comes to cheonging anywhere...no one can guarantee a pleasant or unpleasant time. It's up to one's perspective & individual suitability of the place. Luck is an important factor too.

Sorry bro,as much as i want to i can't advise you on KTVs (never been there),but only booking Aquarium joints around Formosa Hotel base on experience.Gold Bird and New Berlian appears to have a more consistent standard on their girls.Feel free to check out other joints personally (no extra charge for joint-hopping),hehehe...wise man's word of "One man's meat can be another man's poison" applies here.

I hear from senior bros here that sometime Kaha is cheaper, sometime it is more expensive,it really depends. I have not book from agoda.com before, but looks like you got a GOOD DEAL. Booking a room from online more or less guarantees you a room. I nearly got no room to stay during my May 2014 trip becos i go Batam than book room...lol. As a newbie, I flunked badly on my last trip.

In my last trip,I book a deluxe room on May 2014 from Kaha at 455k and base on 9100/SGD,it cost me around S$50.00. A friend who frequent Batam whom i met there during my May 2014 trip in Batam got a walk-in price of S$50.00 for a Family room.(i saw the receipt) Fyi,Family room are the one with 1 queen size bed and one more small bed as below :

So my guess is prices of rooms may vary from time to time and subject to availability.

Hope i answered your questions. Have a good trip, bro.

Let's all hope that it goes back to those good old times...! Hehe...

Even if the good ol' times were to be back, even if $1 = Rup10,000, dont expect cost to be stagnant ya. Inflation still remain. Hotel rates, cewek prices, food etc etc all will be up in tandam. So if i were u i wouldnt be happy at all. In fact i would rather the rup not to be too volatile. Otherwise it would be like LP PL.

One simple example. When price of oil went up, the price of ferry ticket also went up. But when price of oil decline, does the cost of ferry ticket came down to? NOPE.

Thanks bro Nono for your reply.

No need to censored my nick la. Hahha. Anyway, I used to frequent Batam and Tanjong Pinang in the past but always with a friend. That's why i don't actually recognise the joints that we go to. But seriously, the price in Batam has gone up drastically. Although, last time the rate is like SGD$1 is IDR7000 but still prices are relatively cheap. I once go to a KTV with a room and girls and cleared up the fridge and was bill SGD$100!! And as I said girls was IDR300k at that time.

Anyway, I hope I get lucky next week when I'm down there. I don't really want spoil my trip with girls running away in the middle of the night (happened to a friend before). So I'm doing a lot of research from this forum alone and planned out my trip accordingly.

Thanks to most of the seniors here for posting your FR. Will post mine up once I'm back on Tuesday night next week. :D

I'm going Batam this weekend all alone for short getaway. Any hotels you guys could recommend?
Also where to get money changer once reached Batam?
Want to have a good time all alone once there. :)

Good day to you, bro. If you are planning a short getaway all alone during the weekends,i would suggest KTM Resort at Batam. But you will need to drop off at Sekupang Ferry Terminal when you purchase you tickets from Harbour Bay Terminal which is much closer than any other Ferry Terminal to this resort. Upon arrival at the ferry terminal, you will see a handful of money changer. Otherwise you can change your money at Harbour Front Ferry terminal.

Prices with all tax inclusive from booking.com as of date for 2D1N is :

Below will be what to expect when you arrive at KTM resort. It is definitely a good place to spend some quiet time all alone at Batam. And if you are bore, the resort also provide Body scrub, aromatherapy massage, Bali massage & even foot reflexology too.

It's near hillside area and hill climbing on stairs is available if you like to explore some wild life. You will also have a chance to see some wild monkeys running around who is always eyeing at the nearby provision shop,hehehe...There is also a hydro bath in the Spa Villa too.

Within walking distance, there is also a well known open air temple that plays Buddhist chant 24 hour round the clock, and it is a quiet temple with not many visitors (base on weekdays),so you can imagine the serenity with a beautiful sea view across looking at Singapore. Becos it is so close to Singapore (viewable from the resort),my M1 cell phone sometime do not require auto roaming to dial out to Singapore...lol.

If i don't remember wrong,i heard there is also a KTV there, but i have never been there before. I visited this place but never stay over during my 1st solo trip,it is by my standard a very nice place if one has some to kill and wish to spend it all alone accompanied by nature & some peace of mind.

Hope i answered your questions and may you have a good time in your coming weekend trip.

very agree on this.. i really hope the price of ferry wont go up..

on the other side, i think singapore gahmen won't allowed that to happened too as it may impact the tourism industry itself. the higher sgd to rp mean less tourist from indo will be spending their holiday on the sg..

Hi,glad to see ya here. The main reason why i censor off your nick becos it's a message send to me via the "private" message system of this forum. It's private, and out of courtesy & respect to the message sender,i have chosen to censor off their names & some personal data like dates, time of departure/arrival etc. Still unless the message sender is a spammer or scammer, will i not hesitate to reveal their details. I am sure there will always be different reasons by each individual why they choose to PM me instead of asking their questions in this thread.

Thank you for sharing yr good old times in Batam with us.Being a newbie, I am constantly learning as i read this thread over and over again, always seeking to move a step further in my every upcoming trip to Batam. So far,i have made 4 trips with about 6-7 different girls, none has ran away (touch wood) in the middle of the night and other than my 1st solo trip which i kena chop until whole body blood, the rest appears to be above satisfactory level.

i hope you have a good upcoming trip to Batam and will be looking forward to your FR/trip summary when you are back. Happy cheonging!

Heard that Indonesia are planing that rupiah would be redenominated by removing three zeros starting 2014. The existing rupiah will be phased out by the end of 2018. But the plan was delayed to further notice.

Having a big figure currency could be difficult to calculate. Although rupiah can be converted freely to other currency, but it is still regarded as a risky currency to hold and also was one of the least valued currency units in the world.

It is a matter of time that sing $1 will become 10000 rupiah in the near future base on past depreciation record. Then satu juta will become one hundred buck leow le.

Best record was in 1998... during the crisis.... 1 USD to 17500 Rupiah

Yes, seems to indicate that where you went to is Harbour bay.

Likely the pub you see is OCEAN pub. There is a massage joint by the name OCEAN massage also.

Most of the gals are massage ladies in that pub. Of cos, you can take them back if they sign out from the pub after work.

talk to them. However, beware not all gals at pub are for pick up.. Some may be there for fun.

I had visited the temple before....it is the first destination of a tour package with arrival at sekupang.
See this too late....will pencil this resort in for my next short leave clearance.

I read the question you ask before you edit your post and in case you still need answers, taxi fare is between 50k to 70k from Sekupang Terminal to KTM resort(its a 5 to 10 mins taxi ride),but if you book in Singapore Habour Front for the KTM resort package, there will be KTM staffs waiting to pick you up upon your arrival at Sekupang ferry terminal to bring you to the resort. Then again, the package cost S$100 plus.

To go to NED is the part that is going to be a challenge. About 100k or more per trip hearsay. My ride took me about 40 mins from Formosa to KTM resort. agoda.com booking do not include 10% + 10% tax...so do sum that amount up once you are ready to plan your trip there.

Request for resort room no. 100 plus if you don't like to walk too far from room to other resort destination. Avoid room 2xx , 3xx, 4xx, 5xx unless you don't mind walking many stairways.(2xx still reasonably ok) If a man can survive ICT (national service in-camp-training),he shouldn't have a problem enjoying this place. Scenery and the serenity in this resort (i was there on weekdays) is their best selling point.

Hope my answers help.
