Not entirely true.

Liverpool were clearly the better team in the first half and if they took more of their chances plus possibly 1 or 2 penalty/handball decisions went their way in the first half, things may have turned out differently.

That said, Sevilla were totally dominant in the second half and outclassed Liverpool in all departments. The Reds were just a pale shadow of themselves in the second half.

Interesting to hear from Klopp and the players as to what happened? I think the team just choked and inexperience showed up.

blessing in disguse.

lets concentrate on challenging to be number 1 in the BPL next season without european distraction.

we did put up a challenge once when we were number 2 in that season... we will improve on that standing.

.

You are half right! pool were better in defending in the first half till DS scored that wonderful goal! it was Sev that was doing the attacking in the first half! Sev was solid in all departments! We should give credits when its due! For pool....MOM is Toure! We should keep him at all cost!

Sorry but i think on balance i am totally right about the first half. I suggest you go look at the stats for the first half and you will see that the Reds were objectively the better team in the first half.

As for giving credit, I have already said that Sevilla were the overall better team on the night.

No point keeping him, time for him to head to lower tier football. Premier league football fast pace and at 35, even if he is willing n with vast experience but physically he is getting slower.

Time to rebuild the team....

First we must stop finding excuses.
Without European football we can focus on EPL?

Now that reality has sunk into Liverpool fans .
Much for Klopp to reflect on .
The team still faces the same problems .
Inconsistency ; old habits die hard ; lack of killing edge and weakness in all areas of the team .
Liverpool were indeed beaten by a better team.
Klopp's honeymoon period is truly over .
I expect Klopp to really start the rebuilding process in this coming summer transfer window.
I also expect some players will be shown the door.
Despite the disappointment one can be happy that Klopp's reign took Liverpool to 2 cup finals which was quite an achievement.
I have no doubt that Klopp and others in the team will have learn from what had happened .
They will certainly make the team better .
The Liverbird will fly once again proudly.

Maybe Klopp himself is the jinx.
He has lost all 5 Cup Finals that his team played in.
Perhaps he should just concentrate on what he does best.... winning the League.

Liverpool transfer news: Jurgen Klopp plans spending spree as he vows to reach 'many more finals'

"Following his nightmare performance against Sevilla – and having been guilty of several high profile errors this season – Alberto Moreno will not be guaranteed his starting spot come August. Youngster Joe Gomez – who started the season at left-back and has been sorely missed since he suffered a cruciate knee injury – will be back to stake his claim."

"Midfielder Marko Grujic and centre-half Joel Matip have already signed. By next week, Liverpool hope to have secured the £4.7 million signing of 22-year-old goalkeeper Loris Karius from Mainz. Karius has played for the Germany Under-21 side. He will threaten the place of current No 1 Simon Mignolet."

"The most high profile deal would be the capture of Germany World Cup winner Mario Götze from Bayern Munich for around £20 million. Liverpool have been pursuing Götze all season, despite competition from Borussia Dortmund. Klopp feels Götze is attracted to reuniting with him on Merseyside."

Ah Gong also have trust in Klopp that he will bring Liverpool back to its good old glory days. We have already seen what he can do with players who are not his . Imagine what he can do with his own players. I hope Liverpool will get the players that Klopp wants in his team.
