Wait for the team to gel? That's the excuse every season. By the time the team gel it's the end of season. You either won or loose games. Our strike force better deliver results.

This year we have Pep, Jose, Conte all fighting for the title in their first season in charge of a new team.

Other teams no need to gel.
Only our special team needs to gel every fucking season.

Pool should take Sotong as a role model. They seem to gel very well every season despite selling players and bringing in new acquisitions. Wonder what's their secret huh?

The next match against Barcelona will be interesting...... I wonder how are the Liverpool defence gonna contain Suarez, Messi and Neymar.

It's just a friendly game so I dun think both teams will be going all out against each other..... more of a wayang exhibition match. :D

And I believe Klopp will be giving all the reserves a runout as they have another match against Mainz the next day.

OT here.... but I saw how Spurs dismantled Inter Milan earlier this evening.
It looks like Pochetti means business this season as Spurs were so slick & efficient tonight. Inter simply had no reply to the onslaught and lost 6-1.

I think Spurs is a surprise package for this coming season and strong contender for the title if they continue to play like they did tonight.

Liverpool no chance against them with their current squad.

Neymar will not play this weekend as he is away with Brazil for the Rio Olympics.
Suarez will be as competitive as ever.
Messi will be influential.
Barcelona will have more players than MSN to kill Liverpool.

Ah Gong believes that even when Barcelona not playing at full strength they still have enough quality to beat Liverpool . Ah Gong only hope that Liverpool players don't get injured .

Sturridge is out with a hip injury.

I feel moving forward Ings should be our 1st choice striker. Flanked with Coutinho on the left, Mane on the right and Firmino through the middle.

Wijnaldum and Can will be good in midfield.

We need a change of Captain.

Its a funny old game eh:D Now what the hell was that about at Wembley last night against the great Barca with Messi and Suarez no less?!:p

Gegenpressing heavy metal football at its very best, that is what was on display by the Reds:cool: Looks like Klopp's intense pre-season trainning schedule may bear fruit sooner than expected.

Lots of positives: Mignolet was surprisingly good and stable ; Lallana showed his creativity; Klavan has quietly turned out to be a revelation; and Mane may in fact be a cheap buy if he is able to maintain such brilliant form throughout the season!

The big question still remains though: can Liverpool maintain such top high level intense football throughout the season?

Also injuries to Sturridge and Milner are a worry as well. Think Klopp still needs to jump into the transfer market for a reliable LB before the end of August.

All in though, think we can start the season with a sense of guarded optimism and confidence.

Oh yes, very happy to see Suarez re-unite with his old redmen. Just shows you that part of his heart never left Anfield:cool:
