Seconded...again, get someone we need, not whom we want. We do need a world class player on the left if Harry is not gonna be able to stay healthy.

Exactly...no reason why any particular style of play can't win the English league. Chelsea for one is the complete opposite of Man U. Rafa's style is totally suited to win Premiership if he gets the right personnel.

Ended up with a team leaking goals.

This wasn't your argument. Your argument was we should have an attacking approach like Man U. Valencia and Pool play the same disciplined way. We do need more players who can score more but why would you want to bench a player (Pennant) who is coming into his own and do a Shevchenko or Ballack? As I said above, I would prefer to spend on the left, if Harry cannot maintain his fitness for 10 games.

that was probably the only time i saw pennant score this season... but then, i missed too many games this season!!! i agree that joaquin is much more of a goal threat than pennant... hell, i even see him scoring 20 in his 1st season with pool, but i guess he is going to cost a lot more than the 15 mil pounds valencia paid for him...

i, too, give credit when credit is due... ronaldinho is still one of the most dangerous players in the world even when he is getting fat!!! he looks in need of a new challenge, preferably a team where fans wont boo him, EVER!!!:D

The champions league finals - a repeat of 2005. Sure hope Rafi have some new tactics on his sleeve. It will be nice if history can repeat.

"When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of the Storm there's a golden sky
And the sweet, silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind, walk on through the rain,
Though your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart,
And you'll never walk alone.
You'll never walk alone.
"

Well.. Rafa is a shrewd spender (probably second to Wenger) who don't believe in spending megabucks.

I watched the Sevilla vs Real Madrid match, Dani Alves looked brilliant.

Also, looking at Milan vs Scum.. cant help but envy the way Milan can unlock defences.

mahalosux - nice clip. Whoever zap u is just a si boh standard samster

Everyone is entitled to his own opinion about the fav team he rooted...dunnoe y this low life creature...come in with such comment...i dun go ard to the other side and zap when they say all 'the great things' about the scum...

gosh...i just realized today is the 1st time i addressed them as 'scum'...as i said..i hv try to forbid the use of 'name-calling' on the other side..but the scum who zapped..really 'forced' me do tat...at least those MU supporters i know in my circle...give the minimal respect to Pool and what they had achieved...likewise we recognized their recent achievement...

nvm..they have been drooling for 2 decades...and they will be drooling even more...when they see us at Athens... (hopefully Pool will go on and clinch it..though i hv a funny feelin that AC will made life much tougher for us this time round..just by looking at the way they bulldoze the other team in red)

hopefully Kaka will not point to the sky of Athens...:p

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

* LIVERPOOL

What they want

Quality, quality, quality. Three years into a five-year plan, Rafael Benitez has led his team to two Champions League finals, but they lack the quality to challenge for the Barclays Premiership title (Oliver Kay writes). A top-class centre forward (or two) is the most obvious of the Spaniard's requirements, which is why he is considering players such David Villa (Valencia), Fernando Torres (Atletico Madrid) and, less realistically, Samuel Eto'o (Barcelona).

What they need

A top-level striker or two would make a big difference to a team that has not scored enough goals, but there is also a need for greater quality on both wings.

Morten Gamst Pedersen, the skilful left winger at Blackburn Rovers, is a potential target.

Targets

Two arrivals are already confirmed, Andriy Voronin, the Ukraine forward, on a free transfer from Bayer Leverkusen, and Sebastian Leto, a young Argentine winger, from Club Atletico Lanus for Pounds 1.85 million. Eto'o, Torres and Villa may prove too expensive, leaving Benitez to look at the likes of Darren Bent, Jermain Defoe, Michael Owen or Carlos Tevez.

Budget

Hard to tell. Benitez has been promised "every support" in the transfer market by George Gillett Jr and Tom Hicks, the new owners, but that is unlikely to mean investing Chelsea-like sums. A net outlay of about Pounds 30 million has been mooted, but, with new contracts for Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Jose Manuel Reina, Steve Finnan, Daniel Agger and Xabi Alonso in the pipeline, money may be a little tighter than imagined.

Departures

Jerzy Dudek will leave when his contract expires, with Boudewijn Zenden and Robbie Fowler likely to follow. Florent Sinama Pongolle last week made his loan move at Recreativo Huelva permanent, while Antony Le Tallec is expected to do the same at Sochaux. Djibril Cisse, on loan to Marseilles, and Harry Kewell will be urged to find new clubs. Sami Hyypia may depart, while Craig Bellamy and Peter Crouch will be deemed surplus to requirements if Benitez can find better players to replace them.

"mahalosux" What they zap I add; I think AC will surely stretch us. But if the players play to Rafa's instructions, then the cup is ours.

thanks bro...:)

yah..hopefully that Liverpool can add to the the collection of 5 they had won...

whereas for next season...be prepared for our 19th title... as we shall want to win it one more time in front of the Kop end..before shifting to the newer 60,000 seater stadium...(understand the new owner has plans to make it 80,000 capacity)...bigger than O.T..:D
