Good performance from those young lads! If MC King can't score against the second tier players then he shouldn't be on the bench in the first team liao!

Liverpool's Team B looked pretty impressive, there is a Plan B afterall:cool:

Very happy for Daniel, showed once again that he is our best striker, should have got a hattrick or more! Also obvious that you get the best out of Daniel by playing another striker. Origi was the bomb in the 2nd half! Glad to see Ings get abit of first team playtime as well. With these 3 strikers fit and sharp, think we can rest easy once Mane heads off to Africa early next year!

Wijnaldum looked pure class and Lucas was very good at CB(that penalty decision looked iffy!). Glad that Moreno was more composed and disciplined.

2 young lads who also deserve a credit mention: Trent Alexander-Arnold(a scouser no less!) and Ovie Ejaria. The future looks bright for these 2 lads!

Oh yes must also give a shout out to Mignolet, think he acquitted himself well last night! Karius cannot be complacent!

Would like to end this post with a pre-match quote by Klopp who said exactly the right thing about the youngsters to whom he had given starts: “If they can’t perform tonight, it’s my responsibility not theirs, so they can feel free and play football with joy in their eyes.”

Love this guy:cool:

Agreed with you. Just watched the highlights. Sturridge should had scored more goals.

Hope to see Marko Grujic in first team who assisted in the first goal.

Some of the passing was great and really open game. Think the feel good factor starts to rub in with team B too.

Now every fans will love to see this type of high pressing fast temp Liverpool play. Even all the pundits and commentators impressed.

I think he really wants to win it. That's why I whack $500 today with Singapore Pools for Liverpool to win the League Cup this season. Four games to go and looking at the remaining 16 teams left in this competition, if Liverpool can beat Spurs tonight then it is easy rider for them all the way home and I hope to collect my $2.5K winnings :D

Good luck.

If now offer you 1k to cash out will you do so?

Ah Gong really impressed with the youngsters in the team. Glad to see the MC King scored 2 goals could have been hatrick if he had not hit the crossbar . Origi also look impressive and should have scored . Ings also should have scored. Good to see Klopp trying something different by playing 2 strikers upfront. The future indeed look very good for Liverpool . :)

Spurs were extremely weak.
I guess they had 3 known players while the rest were from the second tier team.
On the other hand other Liverpool played with more than 5 first team players.
Once again we need to sharpen our finishing because on another day greater teams will make us pay.

Spurs has too many games to play and their priority is CL and PL. Liverpool has only PL and all these domestic cups. I prefer them to concentrate on top 4 finishes in PL.

Few years ago... the sub bench are made up of players from academy or unknown... this season, we have Can, Lucas, Sturridge, Mignolet...

all are international players or B-team international... the future is bright... champions league spot all we come..

Ah Gong agree with you this season the bench looks stronger . The B team also look good too. As long as Liverpool continues to pick up 3 points Liverpool should be doing fine . Next match against Crystal Palace . Ah Gong have a feeling that Benteke will score against Liverpool .

Ah Gong agree with you even despite change of managers and some players Liverpool still don't know how to defend set piece.

Crystal Palace will be a tough nut to crack especially at their home. I hope we get the 3 points to pile the pressure on Arsenal and Man City.

We have conceded 11 goals which is the same as Middlesbrough which is at 17th place in the league. This is such a shame and the team needs to improve.
