Fighting GOD ??
Hanuman

Thanks bro for the pics & quick reply. May I know how to say the name of the amulet if I want to source for a "Fighting God"/ "Fighting Buddha" amulet? I heard Muay Thai fighters wear amulet to help them....are those the ones? So the Hanuman is not Fighting God then? Thanks again :)

You should say "siopaput" in sgp hokkien to locals or any buddha shop sales asst.....to see if they know the orginal name of this buddha. In those days......gangsters wear this when fight in gang clash....it gives u the feel of power when you are attack and figth back!!

That's why its a bit of a misnomer isnt it? Like I have seen those Khun Peng amulets of Buddha image hugging a woman.....to me dont seem right. Anyone can verify the existance of "siopaput"...if so why would any monk make such amulets?

Just to share a bit on this Khun Peng thingy. Khun Peng is not a deity, archan or buddha. It is just a famous legend figure in Thai literature. Monks made amulets, KP hugging a woman, is to show that this amulet is good in relationship. Hope I explain your statement above. :D Sharing what I know....

"siopaput"... should be considered as barang.... but have not seen 1.

But afaik those Khun Peng amulets are all using buddha images. There are no image of Khun Peng so the lady is hugging buddha which I think is not right.....many pple say that is Khun Peng's 2nd wife but the fact remains the monks make the amulets of a woman hugging Buddha which is not allowed right?

Taking about barang, any info on Tiger Tooth? Is that considered as hai amulets.....thanks for sharing with me :)

A bit lengthy on this topic, but simply committee in the temple get the amulets make in factory n pass to monk to chant n sold them to raise fund. Anyway, to me, the intention of the monk in this case, is to bless metta but not sex. It is up to individual.... if think the amulet is not right, then dun chow it. 1 thing in Thai, some of the temples r getting too commerical. 1 good example, I need to pay to get into a temple???
