He definitely has to play some part in the Finals, he's our only left sided midfielder who offers any kind of threat, and honestly made a difference when he came on today. Good cross to compose Alonso's goal. A fit Kewell, even without match practice, is better than Zenden..

Honestly although it was good to see Harry play well and score, I thought the game stunk. It's exactly the kind of game we have played in our recent finals against Milan and West Ham. Defensive errors all over the place (and not a good debut at all for another of Rafa's young boys, Padelli).

Hopefully we have played this stinker against Charlton and not Milan. If not, Maldini and Co. will have us for toast.

Bitter sweet ending for Fowler. What irony that the penalty came a minute after he left. But in a way, it aptly sums up his career at Liverpool - he was ahead of the times.

All the best, Robbie.

Yeah bro i know how it feels.

I wasn't happy today either but honestly it was a typical end of season game. Perhaps more tune up demanded from the back.

On a side note, how bad was Padelli? Awful. Theorize the defence didn't really help him out much, but he didn't look ready for the top level.
Thank god he's here on loan...!!

I felt this last time before Istanbul. We weren't leaving without that trophy. I'm feeling it again now. Whatever happens, we're going to win and whatever happens, we're about to see something special there.

In Kaka you have one of the best midfielders in the world, in Gerrard we have the other one :)

Great finish by Pool to get 3rd spot, what a fight back.
Feel really sad to see Fowler leave coz i feel he has few good years left in him. His instinct and his fox-in-box skills is great like our great Ian Rush.
All the best to Fowler and Dudek, thks a million guys !!

Caught the 2nd half of the game and its irony that Fowler was taken off 60sec earlier to allow for the standing ovation he deserves, and then the penalty decision come, it would be perfect for him if he gets the chances to score the goal.

and was certainly happy to see kewell playing well in the last 2 games. he works hard and rock the bar twice in 2 games, certainly cause more terrror to the charlton defence when he is on.

also saw darrent bent scoring for charlton, thought his movement and strike ratio is certainly good. personally feel he might made a good signing for Liverpool and he might come cheaper then defoe.

That's true, if only Bellars could time his runs as well. Only one game to judge of course and it alos depends on when the person passes the ball. But on yesterday's game, he looks a good signing for us.

Viva Robbie, Legend... :(

Fowler is a top class finisher, and he is the best I have seen since the great Ian Rush, he will be greatly missed in LFC. He could have go on for another three more years, but for the injuries he had over the passed years. I always get a joy in watching him play in a Liverpool shirt.

I hope LFC will accommodate Fowler in some sort of capacity to use his experiences to improve our finishing, which have been lacking since his early departure, We have not been able to find another Fowler, or Rush.

The best luck for the future Robbie & Dudek

The last image i want to see of Robbie Fowler at Liverpool is holding the European Cup.

That will be the perfect way to crown a dazzling career.

do agreed with u totally....
after watchin him playing last 9.....
i think he still left with at lease 2 season...
wat a pity tat LFC did not offer a x-tention...:(

I feel sorry for Sheffield United fans. If Rafa didn't field that super weak team against Fulham, Fulham would have been relegated instead of Sheffield United. Only Alonso and Reina, among our regular starting 11, started that match. I understand the need to rest players for the Champions League final but to drop 9 out of 11 seems drastic.

Given how much money will flow into the EPL from next year on, I think the difference between EPL teams and Championship teams will be too big a gulf from now on. Newly promoted teams from the season after next will find it hard to adapt.

You know, as they say, great players know when to go. I for one am glad that he left us with great memories. We need to move on.

I beg to differ ... what about the teams who had it easy when they get to play against LFC after our Champions League exploits?? It's over the whole course of 38 matches lah.
Between Fulham & Sheffield Utd, I'd rather the former stay on the EPL too.

Again, I beg to differ ... see where Reading is now??
To survive in the Championship to win promotion, you need to play like Sheffield Utd & Watford ... but once you win promotion, the manager must be good enough to transform your team into being able to play a bit of football. That's how Coppell's Reading & Pardew's West Ham managed to last beyond their promotion honeymoon.

Am I the only one who wants West Ham relegated? Unfortunately, again, the Scum got to screw that. ;)

Bro, all very well to think about it rationally but when the margin for failure is so thin, you can't blame Warnock or whoever for blaming other managers (and in fact a couple of refs to go along!).

So CL final time again. Figure the lineup will look something like

Reina

FInnan
Riise
Agger
Carra

Masc
Xabi
Gerrard
Kewell

Kuyt
Bellars

Reserves
Pennant
GOD
Momo
Crouch
Bolo

Dun think Kewell good for the full 90 mins though .... but he played well.

We look stronger in this final than we have had in the previous and hope we take the fight to Milan this time round.
