Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

1st of all, congrats to Liverpool and all fellow fans for a job well done.

There's certainly a hell lot of work to do for the Manager and the Board next season.

We owed much for the late run-in to Coutinho's good run of form in the last few matches.

During the earlier part of the season, we did well when Mane, Henderson, Lallana and Coutinho all played together. But the team's form and results blew hot and cold when the players took turns to take MC.

Thankfully, with the absence of Mane and Henderson, Coutinho shouldered the heavy responsibility and lifted the team with a few outstanding performances and goals towards the end of the season.

Of cos unsung heroes like Firmino and Wijnaldum deserve special mention too. Guess it will not be long before Coutinho's poached by another club.
Hopefully the Board will do all they can too retain him next season.

1) Klopp 1st full season in EPL with Liverpool and quality for CL playoff
2) This season, spent less than BR yet qualify for CL playoff
3) Above Man Utd and Arsenal
4) After 8 yrs, 2nd CL

The list goes on... Why shouldn't Klopp be happy with the above??? If u expect Klopp to do wonder to Liverpool from the 1st day he was employed then u are not being realistic. Face the truth, Liverpool has been lagging far behind big clubs for past yrs.

Your points are valid bro.
But Im quite sore the manner we were booted out of the 2 Cups by lesser teams.
And what's more losing the ties at home.
Hopefully we'll have a good shot at the 2 Cups next season.

Was looking at the final EPL table of this season and a couple of things caught my eye.

1. Spurs scored the most goals; let in the least goals; lost the least games, but still yet could not win the title coming in 2nd.

2. Chelsea became the first team to win 30 league games in a 38 game top flight season in England, and so went on to win the title.

3. Arsenal lost 9 games whereas United lost 5 games, and yet Arsenal finished above United.

4. Liverpool lost 6 games whereas United lost 5 games, and yet Liverpol finished above United.

5. United and Chelsea both lost the same number of games - 5, and yet Chelsea won the title whereas United finished in 6th position.

6. The final top 4 teams had all scored more goals respectively, compared to the remaining 16 teams below.

7. United had the 2nd best defence record at 29 goals (Spurs had the best defence record at 26 goals) but still yet could not finish in the top 4. Interestingly enough, United only scored 54 goals, even less than 9th place Bournemouth below them, which scored 55 goals.

8. United drew 15 games, the most in the league.

On balance, the above stats seem to suggest that the 'the team who dares' and plays to win rather than just settle on not losing when the going gets tough, should probably succeed more.

Goals, goals, goals are very important, not that having a solid sound defence is not important either, but comparing one over the other, it would seem that 'attack is the best form of defence' sould prevail under the circumstances.

So I think Jurgen's tactics are not that far off mark, but naturally we need to buck up on the defence side of things.

I also think if Pep get's it right over the summer transfer market, City may well run away with the title next season, as Pep's tactics seem ideally suited to the 'attack is the best form of defence' style of play.

Ah Gong also still sore . That is why Ah Gong don't watch Liverpool play live.
From title contenders Liverpool dropped to fighting for Champions League .
Liverpool struggles to beat teams in the lower half of the table.
Liverpool loss the Anfield fortress to lower teams.
Klopp don't have a Plan B .
Klopp's bench is very weak .
Well Ah Gong would rather forget this season and hopes next season will be a better one.

Tiagong the transfer kitty is £100m Nia. Looks like we have to sell before we can buy again! Lol...the bloody yank!:D e.g sakho-30mil, MC King -35 mil , lovern-20 mil , couthino-80 mil ! Don't think it's enough also! One sotong defender cost 50mil Liao! Left back, center back, striker etc! So LL Klopp has to use youngsters again next season! Yawn!

Klopp said we have the money to spend.
This is exactly the same sentence Rodgers said and bought rubbish players.
I agree the money is there but quality is needed.
Why do we spend £30 million on strikers who do not suit our style of play?

Notably Pool's both matches against Bournemouth n the home match against Soton should have been easily won! Only 2 pts were taken from that 3 matches from a total 9...
Pool would easily finished 3rd had they not dropped points so easily from these 3 matches...

From title contenders in December to fighting for a place in the Champions League .
Liverpool got knocked out of both the domestic cups .
Agree with some of the brothers' observations here . Liverpool struggles against teams who parked the double decker bus .
Liverpool have at one stage so many injuries to key players . To make matters worse Mane went to play in African Cup in January .
Klopp kept on using the same players even when they don't perform .
The team had been very inconsistent .
Now that the season is over . The transfer window will be opening soon . O believe Liverpool will make some early announcements of those who are coming in . Really hope that Liverpool will get some quality leftbacks this time around. So many rumours going around as to who is likely to come in . But I would like to start by who will be leaving this summer :

1) Sakho
2) Moreno
3) Markovic
4) Lucas
5) Sturridge

Will be good to add some good goal keeping stability and skills to the younger players. Think he will be like Czech for Arsenal and may last 2 seasons.

He is out of contract and if salary is not high then good for Liverpool.

Liverpool should recall Gerrard ; Carragher and Agger back to the team . Woodburn looks promising . One for the future . Hope he and some other kids will get more playing next season as Liverpool will be involved in 4 competitions.
