Just been there about two months ago, which is not what your friend had claim, however IMHO if your main objective is just sexual only with not much of entertainment than the fact is that Balai's ceweks is better than Batam in terms of looks, body, service & attitude but not in presentation (dressing & fashion senses) then cost wise is about 20% cheaper to cheong in Balai.

My advice is to go there on weekday instead of weekend & ask the hotel's transport to bring you to the villa which you will be spoiled from choices & bare in mind there are at least 20 - 30 ceweks per house & is at least 15 - 20 house at any one time.

Do recommend you to stay at Gabion Hotel which we have a fabulous Chinese Rest. on the roof level which serve great food, additional plus point is that you can use the hotel's FOC transport just leave a good tip for the driver on your last day of the trip.

Lastly just touching a little on entertainment which are as follows:-

Disco (only 2)
a) Santana
b) Bravo

Karaoke w/wo rooms
a) Maximillian 7th floor
b) KFC aka "Ken FxxK Chicken"
c) Paradise Hotel Grd floor & 3rd floor

Sports Massage MANY MANY but there isn't ANY SPA type health centre:(

Hi there, thanks for clarifying the age limit thing. It's been a year since i've been to Balai. Probably going there next week. A couple of friends were apprehensive about getting caught with a minor. At least now i can convince them it's relatively safe.

Any more advice, or updates about Balai that I should know of? Probably going there next week.

Hi,
I'm relatively new to batam, been there once only, early this month, planning to go again sometime in january. Stayed at formosa.Hotel was gd and lots of cheap food available and good quality too just outside the hotel. Used inhouse massage, was quite gd and booked cewek from inhouse ktv as well, fgt the ktv name. Service of gal was gd and price was 240k tho the variety in ktv is limited. Had a preety gd time for my first trip. Would like to venture further out next time especially to other ktvs to look for girls as the formosa ktv i heard is not highly rated among batam regulars for chicks. Problem is i have no market knowledge on whats hot and whats not, din dare trust the taxi drivers, cos they will interprete it as where can get commision more. Any regulars to batam have any tips on ktvs with nicer gals. Thanks a lot. Will update on any info i come accross in future trips as well.:)
