Tough game tonight, Southampton also seem to be a bogey team for the Reds.

Just hope we can get those 3 precious points, dont care how its done!

Looking at Klopp's pre-match media conference, looks like he has his mind on Seville next week as well, so dont think Mane and Lallana shall play the whole of this match, if at all. Time for the Ox to really step up to the plate if he is given an opportunity to start/play.

The OX is also a former Southampton player..... he came through their youth ranks and academy and breaking into their 1st team before Wenger brought him over to Arsenal.

How nice if the following ex-Southampton players could all play tonight.
Lallana
Mane
Ox Chamberlain
Lovren
Clyne

Then be interesting to watch Ex-Southampton vs Southampton match :D

The present Soton manager Maurico Pellegrini was an ex-Liverpool player when they won the CL in Istanbul. Benitez then appointed him to be the 1st team coach which he served for 2 years from 2007-2008. He was a popular figure at Anfield and still has many friends here. Yesterday at the Soton's pre match interview he replied to a question about his links with Liverpool by saying he would love to come back to Anfield again and dun mind to be Klopp's assistant or the 1st team coach again.

Even the Soton's manager wants to come to Liverpool so who can blame the Soton players for wanting to wear Liverpool's colors :D

He is Rafael Benitez's godson..... should be going to Newcastle instead.

Hope Matip's injury is not too serious . I also don't care how the team plays . What I am hoping for is another 3 points in bag . Hope the team will not disappoint us .

Do not understand how Henderson goes back into the team.
I would prefer him on the bench with Milner or Lallana in midfield.

Mo Salah scored a brace and Liverpool lead by 2 golas at half-time.

Very encouraging! We were solid up and down the pitch, just what the doctor ordered:D

A good week for Lovren! Had two outstanding games for Croatia and a good one today.

Salah has scored nine times in his first 12 Premier League appearances for the club, a figure better than those modern striking kings Robbie Fowler, Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez. The tally for all competitions is 14 in 18 matches. He hasn't been the best finisher this season either, missed alot of good chances so he would be out of sight if his finishing improved. It's hard not to argue for him being signing of the season thus far:cool:

Mignolet still worries me though!!

Also did VVD look like a £70m player today??

Anyways, roll on Tuesday (Sevilla in CL game) and then next weekend (Chelsea)!

Salah is on the top of the charts!!! 9 goals in the league and not many fans expected this outcome. Hope at the end of the season this player is still on the top. His form surely has put many people to shame and have them eat their own words!!! Great job.

YNWA.

Mo Salah is on fire and now the critics have to swallow their words. Also proves why Klopp insist on buying him. Looks like Klopp will buy only those he targeted and if none available he will rather dun buy.

Tough week ahead with Sevilla and Chelsea weekend. These are games that we all wanted to watch.

Hendo too have a good steady game. Coutinho is sublime class providing the thru pass to Salah scored second goal and himself scored the rebound after Firmino shot and save by keeper.

We all thought if Hendo and Lovren play Liverpool will suffer but proved otherwise.

Some interesting gossips

Alberto Moreno missed the birth of his child last night to stay with the team at the hotel. Welcome to the world, Alberto Junior! And well played Dad..

Very interesting to see Klopp praising Trent’s defending after the game. This is only way Gomez can play CB, if Klopp trusts Trent defensively.

Teams parking the bus at Anfield recently can only hold out for so long. Once we get one we run riot. Can see managers being more expansive, because what’s the point in only defending but losing 3-0?

Coutinho’s celebration didn’t make me feel like it’s a player that has a move on the mind.
Very passionate.

Interesting stats that Southampton is Liverpool bogey team....

Opta stats

Liverpool have won three consecutive Premier League games for the first time in 2017, having last done so in December 2016 (a run of four wins).

This was Jurgen Klopp's first victory over Southampton in the Premier League (W1 D3 L1), meaning he has now won against 21 of the 23 teams he has faced in the competition - only against Manchester United (4) and Newcastle United (3) has he failed to win.

Mohamed Salah has scored 14 goals in all competitions for Liverpool in 2017/18; the most of any Premier League player.

Salah has netted nine goals in the Premier League this term; the most by any Liverpool player in their first 12 appearances in the competition.

Man of the match - Mohamed Salah

Liverpool failed to score against Southampton in four games last season, twice in the Premier League, and on another two occasions in the League Cup. However, the Reds did not have Salah at their disposal.

What a good result by Liverpool . Ah Gong pleased that Liverpool can collect another 3 points and another clean sheet. Congrats to Moreno on being a father . Ah Gong is looking forward to Salah scoring his first hatrick soon. even the headless chicken played well although he did not score . Now for the next game .

It is certainly nice to see the whole team turn up for work . There were a few nervy moments as usual with you know who. TAA is developing and will surely give Clyne a run for his money . He will save Liverpool lost of money . Sallah has been the best buy this season . He is becoming more and more like Suarez . The referee got all his decisions right too . Well done team and it is another 3 points in the bag.

Not much complaint on hendo, only sometimes he was quite wasteful ! Can this Lovren consistently keep clean sheet for pool? He is a big time bomb for pool! So £70 mil for vdd? What a joke!

Clean sheet was because sotong didnt have quality strikers! Let's judge them on the next CL game!:D
