Do not forget the exchange rate differences. :) It is also part of the fee to make the charges appear to be low.

that's why we use the atm only when necessary ... thus we always change our rmb in sillypore before heading to motherland ...

Alway remember - there is no free lunches. The more conveniences you get the more you have to pay. Using PLUS involve at least three parties - every party need to make some money from you. . The fee they collected from you may include transaction fee and of course exchange rate differences.

definitely no free lunches else they will 吃屎了...
but i recall the previous atm transaction i've using my citibank card ..
the exchange rate at SG at that time was 5.12 ...
my bank statement shows a withdrawal transaction at S$394.48 for 2000rmb and no additional charges ...
based on this numbers .. the exchange rate is abt 5.07 ... i lose out abt 19rmb for every 2000rmb ...

RMB19.00 where got lost??? KNN, electricity and rental also need money to pay. Since you got convenience, RMB19.00 is nothing for the service you received. This amount is not enough for you to eat a decent in CP or is it enough to pay your private to your KTV for that night. Anyway, good and convenient to us CITIBANK VISA.

Try my luck on the left was a Indian money changer with few counters,

I think regardless of GE 2011 results, the SGD will slowly weaken again. They have probably been pushing it up all this time. After GE over, no more need to keep supporting it at peak levels. *Speculation only*
