Hey bros,
I am thinking staying in Formosa for the upcoming trip based on the advice given here.
However, something that worries me is that rooms there dont seem to have inroom safe deposit box. I guess you have to use the safety box at the reception. Putting aside the inconvenience of going to the reception desk everytime you need to put/take something, the more pressing issue is how reliable is the reception desk. They can just open your box and empty you wallet

I would like to hear the opinion of expert bros here

Nobody will do that. More than that: leave money on the table in the room at Formosa and nobody will take it. I did it several times. Staff in Formosa is really good.

If you have big money or jewels, leave it with the passport in the safety box. The problem is not the hotel staff, but someone you may spend the night with you. You wake up in the morning, and she/he is not there with you anymore, and also your stuff seems to be missing :D

Usually I leave my documents in the safety box, but current money in my room, for the convenience of taking it when I need. But I hide most of it, leaving 200k in the drawer, just in case someone sleeping with me is not honest and wants to steal something. In such a case, she can take the 200k. But it never happened in 5 years I go there, after many dozens of girls who spent the night with me coming from varied sources, mostly unreliable (disco and pubs).
I go to the safety box only twice in a week: when I check in and when I check out.

My real worry is my laptop. My nightmare is that some girl takes it in the night and disappears! :eek:

Today is Indonesia Public Holiday,most if not all exchange rate is fixed at 9850/SGD at opp Formosa even tho i am supposingly able to change to 9870 under normal circumstances. Was planning for another night stay but rate no good and it is an Indonesia public holiday,my mind changed.

Was an honor to be able to meet up with yet another bro who arrived just yesterday,am heading for breakfast...soon...hehehe...free breakfast. :D

Don't have good ones.. So far the best I know is in JB, NEWYORK HOTEL N SPA. Ask for normal package, the aunties will ask if you want JG near the end.
