May i ask,how would you rate between Delta Spa Massage,Keyza Massage and Atalanta Spa Massage (since they all have supposingly above average masseur)?

I happen to be in all 3 of them before and here's my ratings :

Delta Spa : 8/10 - The place is nice,one of the higher class spa in Batam,very obviously the girl who massage me is well-trained at what they do.Massage cover my whole body w/o giving any uncomfortability. But its near Nagoya Hill Mall,a tourist place where there are more human traffic,so its not my kind of spa to start off with.

Bintang Keyza : 7.5/10 - This place has no facilities,like sauna,steam Bath etc. Masseur issue to me was a 19 year old SYT. And i was impress by her massage skill,given her age. Too bad vitalitas was short,and i know next time i can request for longer time Vitalitas. I will choose a MILF to massage me in future,hoping for a better massage.

Atalanta Spa : 8.5/10 - I would rate the massage on par with Indo Thai. Maybe becos the masseur was a semi syt. She knows what she is doing,massage covers my whole body and were able to control her strength very very well w/o me feeling painful.Obviously well-trained and very experience. Will be looking forward to their special service when i RTM. I like this place cos its a quiet place.

The ratings above are base on the girl's massage skills and a little of the ambiance of the place. Others may have a different opinion when different girls massage them.

If i dont take up any special service,I will usually tip around provided the massage is at ok level (no need to be fantastic). If after negotiating for special service,eg HJ at 100k to 150k and if she does it good or better than expectation,i will still tip 20k to 30k on top of the negotiated amount.

If satisfaction level is low and i dont plan to RTM,i dont tip anything extra at all. :rolleyes:

From your FR,your taxi fare does look legit. But my whole idea of bargaining is not on the amount itself,but more of bargaining for the sake of the need to do so as it is part of their commercial culture in Indonesia to MARK UP the actual real price for people to bargain down.Bargaining prevents people from paying the higher than "normal" price hence also prevent people from getting chop carrot. Yes,what i mean is the taxi driver can quote me 1 million rupiah from Harbour Bay to Formosa Hotel or even 1k rupiah for the similar distance,i will still bargain. Its their culture.

Basic taxi price point for me is between 30k to 40k from point A to point B within around Nagoya area. If i am alone,i use a motorcyclist aka ojek which is about 20k (if its short distance and if i feel lazy...lol). I sometime tip taxi drivers 10k more to those who easily let me bargain to 30k tho,hehehe...they are usually the one who would give me a change of 20k,when i give them a 50k note even tho i do have loose change of 30k (i make a point to always keep loose change). Those driver/s who gives me back my change,i am likely to ask for their phone number,hehehe...:D This game of giving 50k note hoping to get back 10k or 20k is sometime done if i have intention to choose a taxi driver to be booked for the whole day.

I also learn to step out of taxi before making payment thru the taxi driver's car window,hehehe...

Bro,Ramadan 2015 starts on 18th June. 17th will be a ghost town in Batam,19th,20th and 21st are under the 1st 3 days time frame. Would suggest you take the next following week trip tho.

Most higher end Spa like Delta,Octopus,Altalanta etc will still be open. Other massage shop might open later (around or after 7pm when they break fast) or not open at all. Hard to really gauge the timing now. What i heard from friends is that the Police are coming down at joints,KTVs, Disco,Pubs, MPs much harder than the previous 2 years. Dont know how true is that...but this month of Ramadan,i would likely not be in Batam (was already there last year). If you really die die need to go,better not talk loudly in public places,anyhow throw cigarette butts (or litter) and dont bring girl/s out to the public places.Be humble and polite. The police are at their hungriest,"religious gangsters" at their "most religious"...lol.(religious gangsters here refer to people who use the name of their religion to disrupt the social order of a civilise society) More taxi drivers and beggars around (be wary of pickpocket too). Be expected to see most shops closed like you are in Sillypore during CNY. :D

I have plans,but not going to share any exact dates out in public yet since nothing has been finalize,otherwise my PM box gonna burst very soon...lol.

I am constantly changing girls in my every Batam trip. I may extend my overnight girls during the same trip but i know in my next trip,i am unlikely to have the same girl again. Well,unless they can really leave me a very very good impression.

I actually have 2 plans (like i always have...lol),the truth is i cannot take leaves during Ramadan becos my colleagues are going on a one month vacational Amsterdam trip from Ramandan onward till Hari Raya Puasa. Within this period,i wont be able to go on weekdays for the next 30days (from 18th June onward) becos my leaves surely wont be approved. But i still have my off days which is on weekends,hehehe...well,that is of course Plan B and that is only applicable if i am really hungry for Batam girls. I have never tried going during weekends during Ramadan before anyway,hehehe...and if i do go,it can only be 2D1N which is something not to my liking.

Plan A - That would be my original plan,which will be around the time Yani is back.

i can still do both plan A and plan B tho,hehehe...:D

PS : I cannot fix any dates now as July is still half a month to go.I am done with June,and am now writing my summary.

There is one by the name "ah Kiang", not around anymore? I use to patron his noodles before Bei long. His pangsit is also nice. One of the top too....... Same at mitra market. His own coffee shop. Also from medan. That was more than 6 years ago when I last patron it.

I dont think this weekend will be crowded becos its still within the 1st 3 days of the Ramandan month. Very likely its gonna be way way lesser than expected girls. Most places will be close,even eating place. Some will still be open but will be camouflage by a big piece of cloth that covers the whole eating area so the people outside cannot see inside. Religious culture are usually at their strictest in the 1st 3 days of Ramadan. Some shops may still open in the later noon or evening for a bit.

If you really really need to go during the Ramandan month,i suggest go only after this weekend. Better chances. Better still if you could postpone till 3-4 days after 17th July 2015 which is after Hari Raya Puasa.

Nah,my 17th Trip is no match for the 16th one. In fact the reason why i took so long to write is becos half of me is trying to forget the 17th trip but the other half need to write the summary. Its a struggle between forgetting and remembering but i have to keep writing becos i made quite a bit of mistakes on the 17th trip. I need to have a record of my mistakes so in future i can cross reference it so as to minimise the chances of making similar mistakes again. Old already,memory failing me,so be it good or no good,must write them all down...lol.

Summaries are for my reference for a start (or can call it diaries). It also help newbies not to make my mistakes too. Just like your Tanjong Pinang stories you shared,to me EVERYONE knows these stories or somehow has heard them before in different version in one way or another from the other travelling threads of this forum. But many years later,will i be able to see similar stories again here? Hehehe...you bet i will. Smoking is bad for health,every smoker knows it,but they still smoke,hehehe... (actually smoking is totally bad for health isnt entirely true but still it does more harm than good)...lol.

Hehehe...if you read the FRs of some regular bros here or even my summaries,you might have notice whenever there is good trip,the next trip will almost surely be not as good.

I dont know why so,but as Batam is popularly known to be unpredictable,i feel that it might likely be that after an A trip if it happens to be very good,my expectation becomes high,so when i go for B trip the next month with that high or higher expectation and "other plans",the situation may turns out differently which is less than my expectation.Therefore comes the little disappointment. This situation is especially so for people like me who keeps changing different girls in almost every trip. It usually does not apply to bros who goes back for the same girl becos they already know what to expect of her and everything will be rather close to the previous.

And when i came back from that a "little disappointed" B trip becos i pick a different girl in each trip,my C trip on the following tends to turn out better than the B trip becos psychologically my hope and expectation has dropped quite a bit from the B trip experience. The C trip will then be better than the B trip. Well,it just go on and on for D trip and then the E trip and so on...lol. I called it a Curse in short,hehehe....

So whenever any bro heading to Batam for the 1st time with high expectation after reading my summaries and guides,the 1st advise from me is to ask them drop their expectation by half. If any newbie/s has a good 1st trip experience base on my guides/summaries,i would likely advise the same to help them avoid disappointment. And if it happens that their 1st trip is no good,i will ask them to try again for a 2nd trip,it usually will turns out good. But if the 1st and 2nd trip are both no good,then likely is that Batam may not be suitable for that bro. (tho he can still try a 3rd trip to confirm that theory)

Now? i am writing my 17th trip summary and looking forward to my 18th Batam trip about 1 month later,hehehe...18 is a lucky number you know? hehehe...

Thanks nono and John for the heads up of the instar bak chor mee. Already told my partner abt it . Confirm head there latest mid July. Now at changi airport - be in taiwan for 3 weeks.

PS: If anyone wants to rent a Toyota avanza on monthly basis let me know. Dun need 2 cars for me/us. (In case one wonders why renting).

Specials are not included in the package, it's negotiated directly with the gal..

If the gal is shy and never initiate by asking if you want special, then u have to open your golden mouth and ask for it.. All the gals there offer specials...
