Looks like our Hyypia is going...:(

Hyppia long gone bro. His pace in the last few years has dropped significantly and he dont hv the size of someone like Terry to out muscle biggies like Drogba. Nature will take its course.

haha... dream on, bro. i will be surprised if he goes for anything less than 15mil pounds. my only hope is that totti cant stand the sight of him and demands that he leaves!!!

Yeah... but i think its only one of the three, or at most 2 of 3. One as a replacement to Speedy, one a backup to Kewell (I believe he should have ONE MORE CHANCE next season). Together with Pennant, We will have an awesome winger division and allow Gerard to focus on his Attacking Midfiled role in partnership with either Momo, Alonso or Masch. Finnan and Riise focus on the RB and LB roles, needing to lend less support in the attack and we have an awesome 4-5-1 we can play that is also practically a 4-3-2-1. Wah Sai!!1

pool dont need to play the 4-3-2-1 like milan lah... get the wingers in, play the crosses into the box just like rafa's valencia. 4-2-3-1 with 2 defensive midfielders sitting back to help with defence. actually, pool has the 2 of the best defensive midfielders in terms of passing range (in alonso and mascherano), they have the ability to play the 4-2-3-1 perfectly cos they can render the oppostion midfielders useless by bypassing them. aiyah, difficult to explain in words...:D moreover with the defensive midfielders sitting deep, the fullback can go support the attack regularly...

i think craig johnston was an australian if i m not wrong. so long ago already and old man like me cant remember so much liao... kekeke...

actually quite impress with his running ability and he can really create space for his other team mates...he also one of those that seems to pop up at the right place and the right time..
pop up at the right time and place is about right to describe eto'o. but his price tag also seemed high. it seems to me that he is telling benitez to get him over to liverpool the season after next, so that he wont be so expensive and also next season, he might miss part of the campaign due to the african nations' cup....:p

some how feel we may have just seen the best of whatever is left of him in WC2006...he didn't really shine in tournament
top scorer but never shine??? i would take that anyday, man!!! cos his younger and more handsome strike partner was hogging the limelight... miroslav klose is a good buy for 10mil pounds, in my opinion... i agree that if it wasnt due to his contract status, i would not even consider him... cheers...

I`ve been a critic of Houllier but I must admit the day he brought Sami to the club was imo the best signing this club has made since John barnes. Absolute Colossus of a centre back which no player in the world was going to get the better of him in an aerial battle. Great player and never made a fuss when they gave the captaincy to Gerrard, or when he has lost his place in the team.

However Agger and Carra are the undisputed first choice so I think Sami will leave in the summer to get regular first team games. (Still got 1 year contract)

He's nothing short of a legend in my eyes....does the best he can without ever moaning. But I REALLY hope he end his career in LFC.

The man was born in South Africa but grew up in Australia.
He played for the Reds in the 80s & quit football before he was 30 to take care of his ailing sister back in Australia.
Later on, he was also the creator of the Predators series of football boots for Adidas.

Ya boy, notice the clubs he played for all are bitter rivals of man u. Man City, Leeds and Liverpool. Fowler's a legend. Actually, I wonder if he has the heart to play for another club now that he can't play for us anymore.

I see Fowler as a potential sports commentator if he hangs his boots one day. Will love to hear his opinions. Seeing how he taunted the Man U fans with 5 fingers, the Everton fans by sniffing the white line and gays by taunting Graeme Le Saux, he will make a controversial and interesting commentator. Better than Shebby Singh any day man...

Sami Hyypia insists he has no plans to leave Liverpool despite speculation linking him with a summer move.
And the Finnish defender says he has been assured of his future at the club by boss Rafa Benitez.

"Rafa said, 'We are happy with you and you are not for sale.' I will go back to Liverpool in July for pre-season training,” said Hyypia.

"Next season will be my ninth in Liverpool and I still have one year left on my current contract."

Hyypia is currently back in his homeland preparing for Euro 2008 qualifiers against Serbia and Belgium.

i would liken him to be the charles barkley of english football. speaks his mind and words dont need to pass through the head for processing. simply from the heart to the mouth...:D oh, very glad that i m not the only one who saw his 5 finger salute!!! salt on an open wound... but the best memory of him:- he telling the bloody ref that daivd seaman didnt trip him, he fell down himself!!! priceless!!! EPL officials should catch those caught diving to sit down all day and watch nothing but that!!! that cristiano can bring his own chair there cos he will be watching it very, very often... kekeke...:D

I firmly believe that unless there's a club popping up with a longer-than-one-year contract plus equal-or-better-than-current personal terms, it is Hyypia's wish to retire after serving out his final year with LFC.
