Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
We need to stay grounded.
Focus on Newcastle because it will not be easy. Once that is over we have 2 very very difficult games. Like I always say it is not important how other teams perform. We need to be solid and get maximum points. I would prefer Wolves to knock us out of the FA Cup so we have less games to deal with and lower chances of players getting injured. |
Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Chelsea lost too. They lost at home to Leicester and Leicester will be home to Man City next. Hope Leicester will be on form. Man City did not field their strongest team yesterday and lost.
Our top 4 opponents (Man City, Chelsea and Spurs) are all in the semi-finals of the Carabao cup too. The 2 legged semi finals will be played in Jan. Hopefully this means they will drop more points in the league in Jan. Chelsea and Spurs don't seem to have that big a squad to rotate players. |

Spurs are scoring for fun at Goodison Park with now 6 goals in the net.
They did not make any summer signings so big respect to them. I hope Klopp is watching the match because we need to play Everton away and Spurs at Anfield. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Spurs still in the race for the title. Looks like a 3 horse battle at the moment.
From Spurs results thus far, a draw is quite worthless as they have already lost 4 matches but are now still only 2 points off City and 6 points off Liverpool. Interestingly enough Spurs have not drawn a match as yet. Also really hope Pochettino does not go to OT next season, as Poch has shown that he is an effective builder. |
Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Pochettino may not be at Spurs next season. Im sure other clubs will come for him.

11th minute Liverpool 1-0, Lovren is the goal scorer.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Final score Liverpool 4 - Newcastle 0
And best of all Leicester beat Man City 2-1 Liverpool at 19 games with 51 points, the gap is now 6 points with Spurs in 2nd place on 45, Man City drops to 3rd place with 44 points. ![]() |
Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Good match. We are getting hard to beat as well. So any point advantage to us is huge because the odds of us conceding a goal is much smaller now.
Man City is away to Southampton next. On paper it looks like a victory for Man City but Southampton is having a revival after changing a new manager. Southampton had recently beaten Arsenal at home. With their fellow relegation teams dropping points today, Southampton knows any point taken against City is helpful for their Premiership survival. Spurs is having a weird run of form. They scored 11 goals after Mourinho is sacked. Maybe Pochettino is trying to impress someone at Old Trafford. Quite strange to keep attacking after opening a big lead during a busy run of games. They were 3-0 up after 35 mins but they kept attacking instead of resting players. They have a busy schedule in January too. |

Liverpool have not won anything and still 19 matchday to go. Man City was termed unbeatable and now lost 3 games. Just have to keep fingers crossed. I love the 4-2-3-1 system that Klopp used to win against park bus. This system proves the difference now. |
